Fullscreen not working anymore

First time posting. Up to today i was using the additional command “-dx9” to get the game to fullscreen while lowering the resolution but today out of nowhere it stopped working. My graphics card isn’t very good and i normally play in medium settings and half the resolution but now the game launches in “fullscreen” but using 1/4 of the screen, is so small and it forced me to play in the lowest settings while at native resolution, it looks and feels horrible. I tried using the command again but it’s not working. And the worst part is that “windowed fullscreen” does put it in fullscreen! How can i get the game to scale? As i said, my graphics card isn’t very good therefore it doesn’t have a lot of options.

Howdy!

We recently removed DirectX9 and 32bit support. Can you post up your Dxdiag for us to review? I would recommend to remove any -dx9 additions to running the application.

This data will help us provide you the best troubleshooting. Thank you!

I just want to scale the half resolution screen into fullscreen so i can play with medium settings instead of low

Non-native resolution scaling is usually the responsibility of the graphic driver. For example with NVidia graphic cards one can set the scaling mode to stretch to full screen, stretch with aspect ratio or no stretch. If your drivers offer that I am not sure, I only know for certain that NVidia’s desktop driver does.

You could try lowering the desktop resolution and then playing in windowed full screen. As long as the desktop is stretched to full screen it will work.

Chinchillin,

It looks like your drivers are up to date and you’re playing on a cintiq tablet pc with 1440p resolution. This device was not really designed to play games. DrSuperGood’s advice is probably the best thing you can do. By lowering your desktop resolution to a lower resolution your GPU may be able to keep up with the game. Here are a couple other suggestions I have before you try that.

  1. Update your graphics drivers. Your current ones are pretty old.

  2. You have two different DPI Scalars on your desktop. Use only one DPI modification:

User DPI Setting: 168 DPI (175 percent)
System DPI Setting: 192 DPI (200 percent)

  3. If neither works, that’s when you want to change the desktop resolution as DrSuperGood mentioned, or turn the settings WAY down.

Thank you! I’ll try those options. I didn’t know changing the desktop resolution would scale the game, good to know that’s the last choice. Thank you both!
