Disappointed with Blizzard re: Deathwing and MFPallytime

Hours:Minutes:Seconds.

But yet preach is going to blizzcon even after his exploit.

Pally as been a vocal member of the HOTS community for many years for the addition of Deathwing into the nexus. Every interview he had at blizzcon he would ask to put deathwing in the game.

Lets not compare using XP pots for leveling faster to sexual harassment.

One is clearly more delicate as an issue.

Well said OP, Blizzard going back on their word and apparently cutting ties with the games biggest/most prolific youtuber/streamer sucks big time.

They owe MFPT so much for all he’s done for them over the years, blanking him like this is just an example of the bad direction the new Blizzard is heading :frowning:

A lot of new accounts being made just to reply here. This thread is a joke

The OP went too far(Pally does not deserve credit for creating Deathwing), but there is an underlying sentiment that is true. Blizzard should be appreciative towards influential members of their community. It’s good business-sense, and will improve their optics.

Streamers, like Pally(but there are many more), contribute a lot by introducing new players and building enthusiasm for the game. If Blizzard leverages that, it has the potential to work like advertisement. If they act in a way that seems ungrateful, it can ruin the image of their company in the eyes of the followers of those streamers.

Pally used to have frequent contact with the developers, and campaigned hard for Deathwing. They always said they would have him there if they announced Deathwing. They should have kept that promise, it could have been mutually beneficial.

To be fair situation like this should had been discussed privately instead of going publicly on Twitter.

What’s even more hilarious is these “victims” started using this moment to make this drama mainstream by mention Drama Alert a very red flag considering how controversial is the individual known for lying and manipulation of the story he addresses on his news channel, followed by shoving their advertisement links because its the new drama of the week so you gotta milk all the revenue from the people who gave some sympathy for their issues with Walter (Pally).

Why when one individual came out with this info, everyone jumped aboard of it instead of telling Pally’s Girlfriend of the shady stuff he was doing behind her back instead of posting it on Twitter and turning it to some sort of female empowerment filled with kofi/patreon links couple of tweets later in the same day?

Did the thing Pally did was wrong? Absolutely, no questions.

But these victims also handled the situation poorly to only fulfill their selfish desires the moment they started posting donation links.

I will not go in further details any ahead of this and it will probably be my last replay due I believe his controversy has no place in this forum or the thread above, you can be controversial and still be associated with certain companies, I wish the cancel culture could die if anything because its a disease that denies people from evolving to become better, from his own tweets and videos he has discussed about the controversy multiple times and that he is taking couple therapy and avoiding alcohol as a whole, hope he sticks with what he keeps saying in the future.

Edit: I will probably be banned for this but please note that I have no hateful intentions for these victims and I am not trying to defend Pally (seriously I find this thread silly anyways), I understand where they are coming from when it comes to harassment its just I don’t think how they handled it in general was great especially turning this chance to throw in links to gain revenue and many stuffs, thanks for reading this weird rant/response hope you have a wonderful day.

Devil Advocate, Google Chrome on mobile is showing this under Articles for people who at least look up for HotS content which is probably why a lot of 0 posts users are posting.

I hope google dump this whole thing because the articles that keep appearing are so dumb, like look at the one below the article that links to here, LOL so dumb.

You mean he should be credited for a hero which was in development long before he started playing HotS?

Deathwing was in development for a very long time… Blizzard has admitted this on multiple occasions, each time giving the reason that he is very difficult to implement properly, in a way which is not stupid and does his character justice. Since HotS is no longer a massive project they likely decided to push out one of these designs, even if imperfect, just because it no longer really matters too much and that it represents a huge amount of effort just sitting around.

You can be sure the Deathwing complaint threads will be many soon.

I like Pally as much as the next dude but come on. Half of the community screamed for DW…why would his screams be the loudest?

Because each subscriber gained makes you louder.

Who’s MFPallytime?
Also wasn’t everyone asking for Deathwing?

Just because he was the loudest Deathwing enthusiast doesn’t make him the most important. I’m pretty sure a lot of people wanted Deathwing in the game, but that doesn’t mean everyone gets free stuff from Blizzard… other than being allowed to play HotS for free.

Isnt pallytime a creepy stalker

Sorry, but being a content creator doesn’t entitle you to anything.

Also, Deathwing is a Blizzard character, not an mfpallytime character. Dearhwing has been talked about for years by many different people, not just mfpallytime.

So no, I don’t think it’s wrong or disrespectful. He can get a ticket if he wants to go, like 99% of the other attendees at Blizzcon.

Asking for pics while drunk is rude and idiotic but correctable. Its not a death sentence, and focusing on a bad thing doesn’t dismiss the genuine good he does as well. He’s no prince but he also isn’t satan incarnate.

But all Pally wanted was to extort some nudes from female streamer… Surely that’s not such a big deal and totally something Blizz could stand by. It totally wouldn’t be utter PR nightmare to invite him to Blizzcon

When I first played this game I hadn’t played WOW, I was from Diablo games. The friends I made in HOTS have been talking about wanting Deathwing since I met them at launch.

If this streamer had put out a hero concept for Deathwing that Blizzard followed very closely, sure, credit would be due, but he didn’t so nah.

When Tassadar is reworked at least we can all agree Dr. Logan will deserve credit for that.

Personally, I prefer Mengsk.

But having this chicken is still better than some boring generic character stitched together from various heroes’ kits. Like the last thing they introduced into the game.

Agree, I am not a big WOW fan but I am happy we got Deathwing over another original character.
Though I’ve personally have been waiting for Sombra for some time. Or another OW hero.

I doubt this very much. He may have been on the wish list but his Hots design probably started after Blizzcon last year when Hots began the year of constant nut kicking by Blizzard
