Disappointed with Blizzard re: Deathwing and MFPallytime

I have been playing HOTS now for a number of years and have always looked forward to MFPallytime’s videos on youtube. For the last 2 years Pally has, on a number of occasions, commented that the best new hero that he wanted to see added to HOTS should be Deathwing. To my surprise Bliz Dev team has made no reference to giving credit where it is due in this case. Also it has come to my attention that Blizzard will not be inviting Pally to BlizzCon to announce the new HOTS hero. I feel like this is just wrong on so many levels and Blizzard should show some humility and rectify this. MFPallytime has been a committed YouTuber that promotes HOTS and is one of the only individuals I am aware of that does a full A-Z playlist of all of the heros. His channel stimulates new and upcoming players to try and explore the game. Blizzard definitely benefits from all of his efforts and I feel as if they have been disrespectful and are wrong not to have one of my real life heros and the real creator behind Deathwing in HOTS at BlizzCon.

lul

  1. He is not the only one that screamed Deathwing whenever possible.
  2. He actually wanted Deathwing to be a map, so…

are there even any streamers invited to blizzcon to stream during it?

And MFPally has his own gain by using HotS for getting followers, so it seems like everything is ok.

To be real and fair Blizz never asked anything from him and if he did stuff that makes Blizzard not wanting to invite him, it’s also to take into account, though we don’t even know if it’s related since we don’t know if there is any streamer invited at all

Besides Pally largely benefited from HotS to use it as his stream topic so

There just seems to be a very close similarity to the current ideas for deathwing in HOTS and the ideas of MFPallytime.Deathwing in Heroes of the Strom [idBeCoolif] ft. MfPallytime - YouTube . Im not saying he’s not the only person to suggest an idea to developers just that he hasn’t benefited from hots. What I am saying is that based on my observation, he has been a supporter of HOTS and was instrumental in my enjoyment of the game and after Blizzard so closely used his suggestions for a new hero in HOTS its my opinion that they should at least give credit where it is due.

Being big, breathing fire, and having armor isn’t exactly groundbreaking. You get all that just looking at him. If you know anything about Deathwing, having skills called Bellowing Roar and Cataclysm is obvious as well. Nothing else is very similar. Deathwing’s biggest feature as he exists is his Unstoppable/unhealable gimmick as well as the stance system. Pally’s biggest thing was the perma-flying but with tank controls.

I won’t deny that there are similarities, but it’s the small details. Of course he has a mobility skill, of course he leaves fire around, of course he can’t mount. Those are gimmies for a character like him. He hardly “created” anything to do with Deathwing.

how does that make you a creator if you “wanted a hero and they released it based on how many people asked for it” ? excuse me there did he create the hero by him self or something? he only wanted that hero to be in the game like everyone else did. why should they give HIM any credits?

it appears to me that you’re just a big fan of that guy and praising him and all but this is kinda dumb tbh. and suspicious are you MFPally? WeirdChamp in that case again.

So? He did a A-Z showing that he’s clueless.

I remember seeing his murky one making me want to cry. He kept using 1 bribe stack on siege giants and then manually killing the other one. Was horrible to watch. Along with a bunch of other mistakes.

Also,

This.

I don’t think I can blame blizzard considering pallys drama earlier this year. Doesn’t matter if you side with him or not on it, it’s drama they probably don’t want to add to an already controversial event.

and he doesn’t deserve any credits towards deathwing release because he has nothing to do with it.

Based on what I saw from Pally’s Deathwing videos (like the one with Carbot), his idea is basically nothing like what we’ll get soon, so… why credit someone who’s just “obsessed” with your creation and wanted him in another of your games?

yes and how does that makes him “the creator” of deathwing in that case? it’s so ridiculous how people think some times

What? I’ve said a number of times I wanted Deathwing as well as several other users. Khaldor has said that multiple times, once during an official HGC broadcast.

None of us are given any credit for Deathwing and why would we? Why would Pally deserve any credit?

Pally’s desire for wanting a hero has no influence on whether or not the developers will put that hero in the game. It’s just a happy coincidence.

As far as him not being invited to Blizzcon? Well that could have something to do with his drama earlier this year or maybe Blizzard wants other streamers there (like maybe ones they’ve had professional relationships with) or maybe budget cuts and no streamers will be coming for hots.

There’s a lot of reasons why he might have been invited.

apparently MFDramaTime deserve credits out of everybody else that wanted deathwing.

It would be actually pretty funny if Blizzard had issues with Pally being a creep. As if, you know, their own conscience was crystal clear nowadays to begin with.

I mean you’re right, but inviting him could make things worse for Blizzard. They’ve pretty much already started a fire and poured gasoline all over it, I don’t think that they want to start tossing in tnt too.
