How do we disable the bloom effect.
As people age, the fluid in their eyes becomes more cloudy and something similar to the bloom effect can been seen more and more. But that’s after around the age of 50. I don’t see why this is even implemented. This game is not focused on 50+ year-olds. It makes the game look like my screen needs a cleaning.
I suppose I could argue this for most any game made past 2003. Just because someone else did it, does not mean they were right.
i dont know if this will definitely help, but give it a try.
go to …/Documents/Heroes of the Storm/Variables.txt
then find these lines:
highqualityframeblur=true
highqualityhaloblurgame=true
change true to false and give it a try to see if it helps.
Great suggestion, Morogoth! It can also help to try checking for “Ambient Occlusion” if you do have a Nvidia card (Right click on Desktop > Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings). Resetting the Video Driver settings should also fix this issue.
