Well dehaka have got some small talent upgrades the last years but it only buff the common noob guide-made build, while the other classic talents have been forgoten for years.
The idea is easy, give Dehaka more options, of course it will always need to have some kind of weak points, but at least give that evolution beast the chance to adapt to it’s environment. All of my suggestions come to all of my years being main Dehaka (since 2016) and from my love to the concept of the hero (evolution), giving it more quest talents.
Trait
Essence Collection: (Add functionality) Kill enemy heroes to assimilate their essence, Each new killed enemy hero will give him a little bonus (like Zul’jin Headhunter quest)
Quest: Kill enemy heroes.
Reward: Kill 1 different hero to increase your normal attack damage in 10.
Reward: Kill 2 different hero to increase your maximum Health in 100.
Reward: Kill 3 different hero to increase your maximum mana in 50.
Reward: Kill 4 different hero to increase your Attack Speed in 5%.
Reward: Kill 5 different hero to increase your walkspeed in 5% (no stackable with other bonus).
Talents:
Level 1:
Enduring Swarm:
Add Mission: each 20 times dehaka hit a enemy hero with Dark Swarm, Increase the skill area in 2% and get 4 of Physical Armor while the skill is active, stacking up to 5 times and dehaka lost all stacks on death.
Level 4:
Lurker Strain:
Add Mission: after knock back 20 heroes, make Dehaka Unstoppable for 0.5 seconds after emerging.
One-Who-Collects:
Add Mission: Kill 600 minions to make ur Basic Attacks deal 10% of your Basic Attack Damage in a small area around the target.
Hero Stalker:
Add Mission: Each Takedown make Dehaka gain 0.1 mana every time Dark Swarm hit an enemy Hero, stacking up to 10 times.
Level 7:
Feeding Frenzy: (Combined with Paralyzing Enzymes)
Gambit: When Drag ends, deal an additional 280 damage to the target over 2 seconds. Every death reduces this damage by 40, up to 5 times.
Add Mission: Drag heroes 20 times.
Reward: Drag Slows enemies by 40% for 2 seconds after it ends.
Paralyzing Enzymes: Erased, combined with Feeding Frenzy as a quest.
Leap: (New Talent) (Cooldown 60s)
Dehaka leaps to the target location in a small distance, dealing 100 damage to nearby enemy units and stuning them for 0.5 seconds. Each enemy hero hit grants Dehaka 5 armor for 5 seconds (up to 30) and reduce the cooldown of the skill by 5 seconds. (The armor dont stacks with other buffs).
Level 10: (Make visual differences between Isolation and Adaptation and give them passive effects acording to that changes)
Isolation: add Passive: Heroes and Summons that attack your Hero have their Attack Speed and Walk Speed Slowed by 10% for 2 seconds. Dehaka doesn’t regenerate any limbs but they grow more plates and thorns in the tail.
Adaptation: add Passive: Increase the attack speed by 10% and Dehaka regenerate his Limbs. (cmon, dehaka have 2 more arms to attack, his attack speed can’t keep like he never regenerate them).
Level 13:
Primal Swarm: (Talent Update) Each time Dark Swarm hit an enemy hero he loses 5 Armor for 2 seconds, stacking up to 20 armor.
Level 16:
Elongated Tongue: Also Increase the speed of the skill by 30%.
Twin Chains: (New Talent) Dehaka gain 50% of the benefit and rewards from both level 1 talents that were not chosen.
Level 20:
Change Is Survival: (Update) Increase adaptation healing only to 150% and reduces Adaptation cooldown by 30 seconds and Dehaka’s death timer by 20 seconds.
While the skill is active, Dehaka gets 30 extra Armor.
