Yeah, they actually make changes based on the opinion of the WHOLE playerbase. That’s why melee form is getting nerfed and ranged buffed
/closethread unless you can proof with numbers and everything that DW is not op.

Keep dreaming.
Nah, I’ll keep waiting for your scientific study on how DW is not op. Otherwise, let’s just call you a troll that wants to go against everyone including the devs.
I won’t answer here anymore unless you post that big scientific study about dw.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burden_of_proof_(philosophy)
When two parties are in a discussion and one makes a claim that the other disputes, the one who makes the claim typically has a burden of proof to justify or substantiate that claim especially when it challenges a perceived status quo .
I’ll give you a hint: I haven’t made any claims in this discussion regarding Deathwing (except those made to highlight the absurdity making claims).
How could that be if he was over powered?
Dude, you are argueing that he is not overpowered because his winrate dropped a bit according to a single website. You made an argument about his power level at the very beginning. Only recently did you backpedal into saying this was really about people’s arguments.
Winrates dropping a bit after release is normal. However, the same website says, his winrate is still too high. General sentiment on forum across all ranks is that he is too strong and should get some nerfs to destroyer form. A Dev said he was getting nerfs. I don’t know what else you want to prove that not everyone is overreacting.
No.
I’m arguing that using the statistics from that site as proof is silly and not at all understood.
I’m arguing that everyone has an opinion and that using those not well understood or defined statistics to somehow confirm those opinions is absurd.
I’m arguing that you all need to chill out and stop thinking you are serious business because you lost a few matches.
Get a grip on reality and just stick to having fun chatting about the game you enjoy enough to waste your time posting about it.
So was your initial post sarcasm? Cause it was definitely about Deathwing and his power level.
Given that we had 10+ threads complaining about DW and using the heroesprofile statistics like their Bible. And given how he argued before, probably that’s pretty much it. Heroesprofile doesn’t have the strength of data comparable to Hotslogs and incorrect gathering of statistics could easily get you massively differing results. At least personally I don’t care if DW is OP or not, it’ll work out. But this aspect regarding heroesprofile is quite problematic in my eyes.
Then that needs to be said before there is a super long argument
Otherwise everyone is arguing about nothing
I forget that there are a lot of pedantic types that don’t know how to read between the lines in gaming.
Nah I get it. I’m super sarcastic and I have to watch myself on here because I get misinterpreted as being serious a lot. Sarcasm just doesn’t translate well in text most times.
I made a similar thread recently and got so many people misinterpreting. I had to edit initial post soooo much.
But I agree. People get make too many whack arguments with exactly 1 data point to back then up and then ignore everything else.
Some people just want to keep asking the “what if” statement every moment.
It’s not just one person, it’s a lot of people who are didn’t get thrown into a tizzy simply because they couldn’t 100-0 him in a single CC cooldown. Deathwing requires a change in approach because he is CC immune, that’s all, but people would rather complain than learn.
Guy, he is OP. Stop being a little kid.
You’re glossing over the fact the developerer stated that Deathwing was getting buffs as well.
Something being OP generally means it’s overwhelmingly good in all situations.
Deathwing is only good when his opponents are, to put it bluntly, bad.
He was though. Rarely have you seen heroes that have over 60% win rate and those were all very clearly OP heroes that all had to be nerfed. I think at one point DW was near 70%? That’s why people who were STILL defending him were just utterly clueless. Even if the site is even a lot inaccurate, you still wouldn’t reach that kind of disparity. There’s no way the site had a 20% margin of error especially on the sampling of all games collected.
This whole ordeal has been enlightening though. My respect for some forum people that I used to highly regard on their sense of balance has greatly been diminished.
This happens a lot, but when the actual stats actually are that bad, does it really matter? At that point, seems like a shallow kind of criticism because you could literally say that about anything. And it just becomes a useless point of deflection. This is an argument that makes more sense where certain heroes are on the margins of being OP, and DW was not that lol.
Except that you don’t really have any reliable statistics. Nor has anyone done a proper analysis on them.
And yet, he was nerfed lol, and is going to be again. Just because you’re allergic to the data doesn’t mean it can’t give you some clues. I wouldn’t use them for fine tune precision claims, but they can offer some context.
Unreliable as they are, would you make a bet when the stats got THAT bad? LoL, when you bring up all those points, it’s just becomes a smoke screen and an emboldening of your own ignorance.
There’s an old saying that you probably need to heed, it goes like this “don’t count your chickens before they hatch.”
Do you understand what this means?
Also, what does any of that have to do with my reply to you?
