Cursor Not Aligned

I can launch the game, but as soon as I hit “Play” from the home screen, I can’t select “Ready.” My cursor is not aligned with where my mouse is. My mouse will be over a character to select, but the cursor itself will be about 4 inches to the left and 2 inches up from what I am trying to select. I can’t click on the “Ready” button to play - I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I waited for the next update, I searched the forums, but I can’t find an answer or solution to be able to play the game.

Howdy!

What operating system are you using? Thanks!

Same problem here, operating under windows 10, Version 18362.207, in 64 bits. It’s not the first time I’ve encountered this bug but before I just had to press Alt + Tab until it worked (once or twice) now it doesn’t work.

Lets continue troubleshooting by disabling background applications. Be sure to include any app that has an Overlay like GeForce, Discord, and Twitch. (These are examples, there are many other similar programs.)

If it’s still not working after that, it might be good to test the issue with different mice to verify if it’s a device issue vs a software issue.

This happens to me every time there’s a patch. Closing the client and relaunching fixes it, but it means I never get to see the stuff at the start of new events or see what ranked rewards I got, ect.

I run windows 7.

I have a windows 10 pro and i did what you said there but i still have the issue on the cursor the alignment is not correct and is a pain to guess where it should be and were he is

Try Resetting In-Game Options

i have the same problem running the same windows 10 operating system. I cant click the bottom part of my screen and my mouse if offset. this happened right after I installed the new version of windows 10. I uninstalled and reinstalled HotS, I updated my video drivers, the only thing I can think to do now is uninstall the windows 10 update. I don’t know how long I can just wait around cause im missing out on quests and event stuff.

Sounds like a resolution issue. Like the game starting up in a different resolution than what you finally get settled as.

I’d delete the config file under My Documents/Hots then launch or go to graphics settings are restore to default.

This totally worked!! My mouse had been acting weird ever since GeFore wanted to operate in the BG, thanks a lot!
