I hope this isn't something anyone has made a topic about before (at least when searching crtl + alt + f i don't) but i have had an issue with the ctrl + alt + f command.
I decided to Install the game about 5-6 days ago because a friend of mine started playing it and recommended it (I played 2 games 4 years ago and that's about my experience with the game before re-installing it). to my surprise there was no server ping displayed which is an issue for me considering how bad my internet can be sometimes. I want/need to know what my ping is at all time. So i searched on the internet and found the ctrl + alt + f command. So 1st thing i decide to do is try it. The very 1st time i typed the command in, the game freezes and crashes and i have multiple apps that where running in the background that start closing one after the other. Microsoft edge, Teams, Voicemod, Spotify, Battle.net, iCUE. And there was no way for me to re-open those apps. whenever i wanted to, they would open and crash after 1-2s. The only thing i could do was restart my computer.
The next few days i play a few games and re-use the command and those times, nothing happened. i thought it could have been a problem with the Ram usage or some kind of file corruption. idk, thought it was just bad luck. But today, I launched the game, within the next 10 seconds of being in the start menu of the game, i press the command and this time, crashes again just like the 1st time. background apps gone and i can't re-open them.
My question is why does it crash sometimes and why does it work the other times? is there a way to prevent this? And Because it actually managed to crash background apps that had nothing to do with the game and prevent me from re-opening them, i am actually scared that it could, at some point, damage (software or hardware) my PC.
