I really do want someone to be a spell sword, whether it’s another nexus original or if there’s someone in WOW that could be trnalsated into a mage with a sword (as to my knowledge spell sowrds aren’t common in WOW but they were mentionedi nthe WOW RPG which is non canon but still)
We’ll see how this concept looks when I’m done reworking it into a Co-op hero however.

The Summary of What I’m thinking is this. They are a co-op hero that have two seperate bodies but share a health pool
Marr will have baseleine armour but Satele won’t (so damage she recieves is full)
The two will be a Tank Bruiser combo and have a trait that let’s them teleport to the other
Marr is gonna be a stalwart defender (using Johanna as my benchmark but with spells being his major defence rather then physical defence) and Satele using Sonya as her benchmark with wave clear and moderate damage, though a bit more mobile to make up for the fact she’d be a pimrary target since she’s the weaker target and a weak spot for the tank if you will.

To have a spellsword, I’m sure that it’d be somebody who’s a mage, but also good at fencing/swords. Spellbreakers would also be cool, silencing enemies and leeching their mana for their own mana and abilities.

I imagine the support stuff you planned for the original could be worked in to your Co-op idea.
Like they both have support capabilities but can only support each other to incentive sticking together and working as a team.

Idk about leaching mana but like reducing someones spellpower and every time they cast you gain mana for the damage they would have delt would be neat.

Trust me dude I got ripped apart when this concept was being judged for having Mana Drain and the Devs apparently went into great detail about how mana burn is an awful idea
Now you could work the mana drain into something like say Lowering spell power significantly
I also have my Concussed effect that could work for them to play around with Spellsteal (It is a dedicated silence but it adds to cooldowns of an ability)
Well I’m actually thinking I’m gonna avoid hardline support stuff but mabye include a bit of it here or there in the talent tree, kinda like some of the stuff that happens with Raynor, Yrel or Tyrael, rather then being more dedicated Support stuff.
Also I don’t want to make it mandatory for them to be really close all the time because Satele is going to have enough wave clear to be a decent solo laner (which has it’s risks if she’s dueling someone since her health pool is that of the tanks who’s in mid so a risk vs reward)
Also to make use of the trait which lets them teleport to each other

Some support stuff wouldn’t make it mandatory for them to be together. But I think something as simple as “Marr does more damage to enemes recently attacked by Shan” or “Marr can force throw Shan somewhere” would be really neat. Something to encourage (but not necessarily force) teamwork between the 2 and fighting together instead of just having to seemingly separate heroes that can only be picked together.
I recommend checking out Kalista from league as she has mechanics the kinda things Im talking about.
I imagine anyone who plays a Co-op hero would be in comms with one another so this would be a great place to have some mechanics that would normally be super trolley like garrosh throw and chogall shove but would totaly work in a Co-op setting.

You know this could very well solve my problem with Satele’s Niman trait since it gives me a reason to not involve E in that trait so I only ahve the damage and the mobility/light CC side to deal with. And make the E some kind of co-op power
Since all I had for Marr was “Retaliate” (the only base ability I had for him so far)
