After going through the motions of the mysterious host name bug that prevented the game from starting, since that issue I can no longer open the game on an external monitor.
I had to take things a little more extreme on my machine as the hostname fix initially worked, then didn’t work. I had to blow away my local configuration data for HOTS and reinstall the game. However, after doing that my mouse was out of alignment with the actual menu options in full screen mode and I had to put my mouse a few inches to the top left of any button when I started the game on an external monitor.
I switched the game back to windowed mode (which I prefer), but now I can’t launch it at all on my external monitor; it ends up crashing the same way it did with the hostname bug. If I unplug my external screen, start the game on my primary screen, then move the game over and maximize it things are fine, but that’s kind of a pain to do every time.
Any ideas? Has anyone else had this happen?
