Not to be a jerk or anything but I played against someone with your name several times recently. You’ve been under silence status every time… This might be a situation similar to leaver queue.
I’ve found the easiest way to break loss streaks is to queue with a 2nd person. You’ll find just having one person to work with (especially if you draft together like Auriel+Valla) makes it much much easier to win.
you are not alone player ive been losing a lot lately as well but I play nothing but yolo queue qm and i’ve been focusing mostly on difficult heroes like illidan, chen, kerrigan.
my advice to you is to really sit back and think about your games and why you lost them. Maybe a lot of them was really your team mates being potatoes but then also look at your own play and be as objective as possible and think how could you have contributed more or played better and what mistakes did you make
Too blind to just check on facts : MM is dead. QM and Unranked are dead : solo players and duo also are just meat for higher ranks / higher drafts. This is pathetic how you can argue against this.
I took a peek at some of your games. It seems you are good when playing ranged Assassin but at some of recent losing games, I think you are one of the problem.
For example: in your Abathur’s game, you have way too low EXP contribution and low siege damage. Your siege damage is almost the same with Tyrande (Healer).
I can mention the other games where you lost, but the point is I think you are also major part of why you have losing streak.
Lol ! Those advices are dumb : who was he playing against ? Was he in a team or solo ? Most of Aba players are just thrown into void with noob players who don’t even know who Aba is. New players are just feeding bad “HL” teams who lost too many games.
Yeah, “great KT and great Tyrael” : smurfing is a thing right ? Losing streaks are a fact too : either you consider they are real, either you don’t. As a player and as a reader I watch unbalanced games all day long.
If you play QM, and you are on a losing streak, it’s best to stop for the day. This is because that’s the pool of players online at that time. You will keep getting the losing team until other players come online. Hence, best to stop for the day.
Also, on an unrelated topic, smurfs are real. I have seen players and teams where all accounts have <20 account level, and they macro like pros, juke out of their minds and combo the hell out of everything.
I dont disagree with whether losing streak is real or not. And since it also happened to me as well, I can say it does exist.
But I also know the one who has a hobby to flame and blame is most of times is the problem of why we lost. Maybe because they spend too much time for typing instead of doing something. Well it is my own opinion and I maybe wrong
This is why people have told you to just play AI or just take a break. Going in tired and already defeated is not going to help you at all. You’ll be more prone to mistakes and more likely to argue around with teammates – these are just a recipe for disaster. All that can be done is just take a break for a few days or even just a week.
Playing AI can be helpful because it does become a nice way to relieve stress. Not so much the winning but just hitting stuff and hearing dings! I know it is shallow but hey it helps me out to just mess around and calm down.
But really just take a break.
Aside that you may want to try playing the game at a different time than you normally do. Sounds crazy but the time does affect the types of people you may end up meeting. So try changing up the schedule to see if that makes any difference. Other than that try mixing it up from your regular pool of heroes you play, take the opportunity during your break to practice a new hero etc.
If you get tilted because you are losing matches then you just don’t have the right mindset to play some competitive team games. Losing is a part of the game.
As you know - its a team game and that also means that sometimes you lose matches because of others. If you can’t handle this then you might want to play a 1v1 game like SC2 or not a competitive game at all (as you said you worked all day and just want to have some fun…)
Honestly i think before it even makes sense to improve your HOTS skills it would be better if you work on your mindset. Even if you would become a better hots player you would still lose matches.
Hey mate, even tho it was already mentioned I would like to stress it once again - get a break
I personally never got such a number, mainly cos if I have 2/3 games which just feel off (not based on comp but more regarding players attitude) I take a break.
That’s a healthy thing to do, you get some time to reset, get a more positive mindset, regain trust in ppl and you can use it to analyze your matches and figure out what you should focus on more next time
You can also use the time to take a hero in a try mode and experiment with builds.
Also if you do get a game where you end up having a great coordination and such - don’t be shy and ask if they wanna party. In personal experience almost always the majority will accept
as long as I get satisfying matches in qm where the teamplay works out (even if we’re losing at the end) I’ll keep playing HotS.
But at certain times (yeah more than 50%), I’ve encountering frustrating situations, gameplay moments or losses, that make me quit the game afterwards, to stay healthy
That’s the attitude!
Not all lost games are unfair/ not fun.
The only thing that gets me all the time is bad attitude and toxicity (it’s not often, I’m sure if I actually check all the games it will be less than 20% but cos it’s so annoying it feels like way more)
Also timing matters, today I took a day off from work, played 1 ranked game and realized that it’s better to wait for the evening
