Blizzcon opened with Metallica

And ended with a kpop group. Shouldnt it be the other way around?

Prob the worst blizzcon ever.

Wow, how retro, I guess they were inexpensive to book.

This is a very valid complaint. I care a lot about which groups a company starts and ends an event with.

I remember Cinderella from ages ago. One of the first users. Did you quit HotS?

Yeah I know it’s not, but is Metallica really the vibe you want for Blizzcon? It’s just kinda amusing.

I’d want Metallica for everything.

Even a funeral? I know they are popular at weddings, been to enough with them played there. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The only “good” content we got from this Blizzcon so far:
Diablo 2 remaster
Diablo 4
Metallica (and this is coming from someone who hates rock music)

Sure why not?
Something upbeat rather than depressing.

I second that, I’ve had some memorable sad/happy times at true Irish wakes. Anyway, sorry, off topic!

What is different about Irish wakes if you don’t mind me asking?

I can only speak to the ones I’ve attended. They were very liberal with the alcohol, people danced, told stories of the deceased, sung songs, almost a party feel. I was told they aren’t all like that and can be somber, it depends on beliefs, age/background of the person who died etc…

There was some Lindsey Sterling sprinkled in as well.

Seems like the better choice. Don’t want to repulse the audience and then can completely skip out at the end.

I saw a flash animation back in the 90s making fun of Metallica. It was about the band suing Napster. The entire time the backgrounds and promo pics had “The Richest Band in the World” under their band name.

Hey it worked  Napster went down.

I was working for an ISP back then, and a LOT of customers canceled their service because they couldn’t use Napster for free anymore.

Must have been an interesting experience. Don’t get me wrong. I’m neither for or against it. Just a memory that popped into my head.
The entire premise of the flash animation was true. I have two of their albums because of bunch of my friends recommended them to me. I was not impressed and found the band to be boring. I understand why the band was popular. Never used Napster, it also did not stop me from sharing the music I had.
