I was laning as Leoric, and doing a very good job of avoiding damage while still clearing the minions out.
Then a friendly Butcher showed up and hid in a bush beneath me. I immediately took that as my que to engage the enemy in a needless 1v1 that predictably went in their favor before I started running away.
They took the bait and chased after me, and the moment they stepped too far out of line I slowed them and ghostwalked out of there while Butcher came in for the kill. I felt sooooo good after that, and I’m pretty sure the Butcher appreciated my baiting skills too!
On the opposite end of the spectrum, there was this other time where I was chasing a low health Medivh and absolutely kicking the crap out of him. Then there came this part where he actually doubled back to LET me hit him and that’s when a little siren went off in my head.
A fraction of a second later the Medivh portalled out while the enemy team came and ambushed me for a kill. I was honestly more impressed than anything else and have since made a mental note to be wary of chasing enemies.
What about you? Have you done any good baits? Fallen for any good baits? Lemme know!
QM players are very aggressive and tend to forget enemies can pull tactical maneuvers and aren’t just there to be punching bags so ganks can be really easy.
A lot of the time if I’m low health but I have a cooldown or two ready I won’t fully retreat from a fight but tempt enemies to dive me only so I can dash off or just unload on them.
It occasionally backfires and I get deleted but hey it works most of the time
I have seen countless cases of someone seeing an enemy Abathur on the same screen as them and immediately try to dive in 1v5 under three forts and ten towers trying to kill him.
