Authentication takes forever and then times out. Looked through forums, etc. to find info, found nothing. Only information currently is latency a stability.

Same issue, I can’t login past the Authentication. Just started happening.

Tried scan and repair, loading the game directly (no bnet), and nothing.
I am having the same issues. One time it said it couldn’t validate my password.
Same. Started a couple minutes ago for me, when I couldn’t pick a hero, and the area of the screen where a hero should be was empty. All other parts of the GUI worked except for selecting a hero. Re-launch game, stays on “authenticating” and then tells me my login timed out as if it didn’t know I was trying to log in. Sounds like somebody over in Blizzard IT should restart the authentication server.
Edit: I logged out of the Battlenet App and logged back in, HOTS says there is an update to download, pre-patch. Tried launching the game again, no change: Authentication timeout persists.
First voice chat, now this.
Edit: I got in, but now every queue is disabled.

Same here, can’t log in.
Glad I’m not the only one.
So far I flushed DNS and did a scan and repair to no avail.
Seems to work now, must of fixed it.
Tried again after reading your reply. At first it was still stuck, then said error, then finally went to the Nexus start screen.
Not working here either. Just says authenticating forever. I tried repairing it. I tried canceling the authentication and logging in with my info but the log in button will not even let me click it.
Yup, same here. Already loading another game.
well guys idk what happened. I messaged here saying it isn’t working then clicked play one last time (like 4th or 5th time) and it just logged right in. Took about 20 seconds
I hung out on the character selection screen for a bit and alt-tabbed to some other stuff for less than five minutes and ended up timing out and losing connection.
Good news, I found the solution! Blizzard wont buy ddos protection so we just need to wait for whichever angry hots player who is ddosing to stop
same problem, authentication error, and getting kicked out of game
ok so played a game now getting lost connection after the win. Aaaaand timed out. Now cant get back into the game.
First day back in several years, glad to see this game’s connection still blows. What is the malfunction? Fix your servers.
Stuck at Auth for me as well, still broken.
Back to League for me. I’ve never seen so many issues as I have with blizzard. No communication as to what’s going on either.
