Spooders can now hit 5 times each. The maximum damage his Q can deal now (with lvl 1 talent complete) is 1275 + 4% (a bit more actually, but rounded it down… it does affect higher levels… on level 20 it seems like it should be 1283 + 4%).
The squishiest heroes (think of Nova) have 1300 HP, so spooders alone can almost 1-shot her. If she’s caught in a zombie wall, which will enable her to take the whole damage, will kill her for sure (if her Ghost Protocol is on cooldown).
But on average, squishies tend to have 1350 HP, so he can almost 1-shot them as well.
BUT all of these numbers are WITHOUT Vile Infection. When we add IT to the calculation… it deals 27,83 + 4% dps. If we assume that Vile Infection lasts for 10 seconds when applied by a spooder jar, then it would’ve dealt 278 + 4% bonus damage, which would bring his Q damage up to over 1553 + 4%. Nazeebo can easily 1-shot the squishiest heroes with an ability, that has 8 seconds cooldown, which can be further reduced by 3,125 seconds (which will bring it down to 4,875 sec cooldown).
These numbers are BY A SINGLE Q. Not including even a single basic attack, not including potential zombie wall damage, not including potential toad damage, not including potential ult damage. Although sometimes a Zombie wall may be required for his Q to deal as much damage as possible, it will only INCREASE that number.
Just for comparison: Ragnaros ULTIMATE deals 594 + 4% damage.
Alarak counter strike deals 550-700 + 4%.
KT’s Pyroblast deals 810 + 5%.
All of these ULTIMATES have WAY LONGER than 5-8 seconds cooldown…
Here we are… the first whine thread about Nazeebo.
My answer to this. Give the patch some time, maybe a week or two.
No matter how much time I give him, A BASIC ABILITY ON AN 8 SECONDS COOLDOWN SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO 1-SHOT HEROES!
63% WR in dia+ already. Low sample size, but I expect 60%.
I first ban him when I can.
Demo of Fan playing him(04h43m57s):
But also stuns and combos from his Molten Core swing.
But also renders him unstoppable, and invulnerable for its duration. The damage dealt also scales with sadism so can be a lot higher.
But deals the damage instantly, and will chase no matter how far the target teleports.
Aww, how cute of you to think that having 2-3 times more damage on a 10 times lower cooldown, available from level 7 (instead of 10) onward is actually worse :>
Ragnaross’s combo does that much damage near instantly. Literally swipe → smash → explosive rune → some meteors on the head. That is ~2k damage right there in 1-2 seconds odd. That is a lot more dangerous (likely to kill someone) than spiders pewing them over a few second, which some heroes can out right dodge most of the damage of.
Let us not forget that the spiders are depending on a favourable hit do deal that much, such as ideally alone without distractions. Throw the jar into a team fight and you will likely have under that damage spread between 2-3 people.
Ok but how does the ghost protocol saves her?
Unless she has DoT on her, it will cause spiders to lose agro and retarget (as they are not DoT, but actual units that chase and attack).
Causes the spooders to attack the decoy for a bit and thus it absorbs some of the damage.
Thanks, lucifer. That information is more reliable than a simple rant, but honestly in all games I saw Nazeebo I wasn’t impressed compared to what I remember from Falstad, Valla or Zagara. But if you’re right he will get his nerf soon enough.
People cry when he was garbage before
Keep in mind the tips below are from Nazeebo before the changes. I didn’t bother to check what they changed about him
-
You shouldn’t ever get hit by a zombie wall 1 v 1. It’s slow to activate
-
You can run even after getting hit by the spider jar to minimize damage. People just use dummy target numbers to inflate damage when that’s an ideal damage and not realistic damage
-
He’s still immobile
-
Ice block is strong but it’s beatable. Otherwise Jaina is op too, which she isn’t
-
He takes time to scale. As much as I love hypercarries, that means he’s worthless until 20. People say a good wall before that and his high damage on spiders is enough to mean he’s not useless early. I mean if he’s landing wall that’s a bigger issue but he’s terrible before he stacked. Idk what else to say but he was garbage and no one should have picked him In ranked over other choices
He’s been able to do this since his rework, it’s always been his highest single target build.
There is a difference between Nazeebo and Nazeebo. I played a brawl, where I was playing zeebo and the enemy team had one as well. The enemy one took 2 different talents than me (he took spooder talent on 4 instead of faster D stacking from takedowns and he took ice block instead of Superstition) and was much less successful.
In the end I was indeed decimating his team, while he couldn’t lay a finger on mine. So I suppose that he still requires some sort of skill/knowledge to be played successfully, but the fact that I was destroying his team was kind a the proof I needed of how OP he is now.
- Spooders have lower cooldown (8 sec down from 9)
- Spooders now last 1 additional second upon lvl 1 quest completion, thus they hit 1 more time before disappearing. (They deal up to 25% more damage). Jar slows by 30% for 1,5 sec too.
- Level 4 talent now generates him 5 trait stacks per takedown - the talent that was healing him upon collecting stacks.
- Level 7 Spooders talent now causes 4 Spooders to spawn by default and 5 when you hit only 1 enemy. Thus hitting more than 1 enemy doesn’t neglect all of the talent’s value.
- Level 16 Spooders now reduce Spooder cooldown as well, up to 3,125 seconds, potentially bringing their up time to 100% of the time.
There are some other changes as well, but these are the relevant ones.
It’s not impossible to get trapped in it. Considering his Jar has a slow now. It’s also possible to trick a chasing enemy into it. As well as to force an enemy into it by spreading zoning toads, or by chasing them into a tight corner.
As a matter of fact, people were already taking AT LEAST HALF of spooder’s damage even before the buff, even when they were able to run freely. It will be even more now, that the jar slows, and when the spooders have additional second to chase.
That’s irrelevant to the fact he can 1-shot enemies.
Yeah, I like Superstition much better anyways. Makes him almost immune to poke damage and forces enemies to overextend, if they wanna hurt him. It also got buffed this patch too, although it’s not some OP buff like the rest of the changes. It just summons a spooder to attack whoever has removed the spell armor from him. It can still be annoying tho.
In order to get that 1275 + 4% damage I was talking about, he needs level 7. He needs 20 for the 1556 + 4% damage. But by no means is he weak before that.
I’m well a were of that. However, they reduced it’s cooldown by nearly half (from 9 sec to 4,875), they increased its ALREADY HIGH DAMAGE by 25%, and they made hitting more than 2 enemies more forgiving.
He could already take 80% of squishy’s HP with a single Q, after level 20. He can now take 95% of their HP after level 7 and 100% after 20…
nazeebo went from tier d to like A or S
That’s actually good tho.
Nazeebo has been laughed on for years, let him have his moment to shine, now please shush and learn to play around a once-obscure hero.
I played Naz in QM a few times. The smart ones knows how to dodge the spiders.
If you’re getting constantly hit by spiders as an assassin then you weren’t very good at dodging in the first place.
This goesbfor people who keep getting swapped with artanis. Most swaps are predictable and you can dodge them easily. Same for Nazs spiders, you can predict where he’s going to throw.
And if you’re getting hit as nova, then damn… I don’t know what to say. But at the same time, you’re feeding Naz his spider quest with your decoys. This is how I finish my quest easy, same goes for samuro
For example, I kept hitting and killing a Ming. She very well knows the tactic is to try save her teleport when getting hit by spiders. Also a smart Naz knows to throw the spiders when Ming uses her teleport.
I think that the keyword here is “constantly”. Since you can die by just getting hit once
Which IS the problem.
And smart players know how to make spooders hit. They can hide in bushes and use them on unsuspecting enemies. Or they can bait enemies to chase, just to use spooders on their path. It may not ALWAYS work, but when it does - it hurts like hell.
Kinda like how you weren’t impressed against Zag?
I mean you’d think you’d kind of learn by now that if you have a good game sense, sometimes you can make pretty good predictions. Even then, the point of the forums is to forum. It’s not like WereElf just spouted off without reasoning.
