Ok, so I estimate about a few hundred active people post here weekly, and maybe a thousand less frequently.
Of those regular posters, around 5 of them are allowed to post images or non reddit links here by Blizzard.
Are the rules too harsh? Should they change the discourse rules, and “trust 2” people also be able to do extra stuff? Or even “trust 1”?
It’s hard to make or prove some points, when you aren’t allowed to show it with pics or links, and have to hide them in all kinds of tags that can’t even be clicked.

I for one am flabbergasted that I cannot post un-escaped links.

I have no idea what it filters besides galvanized discussion. One of those Blizzard ideas that’s terrible and nobody asked for.
And here they stick to these guns like a faith.

to increase the number of quick matches for disconnecting is only breading quiters and sabatage. Need to seperate by hero progression 500 or less in same Hero League and those who arew 500 and above in another. Then maybe HOTS wont continue this madness of creating there own down fall
I love when people don’t read the OP, and just post stuff that is in no way related to the topic of the thread…
On Topic: I would say that making it so you can never get TL3 because you were suspended once is a bit harsh, but I don’t know that the actual requirements to get to TL3 is all that bad.

most of the gripe is hearsay on being being upset that they can’t have something, so they think they are ‘punished’ rather than looking at perks as some magic ‘reward’
And even then, there isn’t a whole that that pictures will magically fix for what people would actually bring to a forum. But, if trust levels keep down HoH spam links, then I think you’d find select people citing that it does more good than harm.
If someone needed the direct limitations of level 3 to try to convey something, it probably wasn’t well done to begin with. Outside of meme-lording it up, whitelisted cites, sami’s guides, and couple of other resources get around to using tools well-enough for the amount of attention span anyone else has to actually process that.
A picture is said to be a worth a thousand words, but heaven forbid anyone actually try to process what those would be outside of a George Carlin routine.
what does all of this has to do with the topic?

As an idealist (and TL3)… Can’t we trust people a bit more than instantly assuming they will spam and destroy the forum?
Just let anyone who is TL2 do anything including editing wikis, posting pics etc., the forum is pretty small so it’s not like something catastrophic can happen from this.
Or just lower the requirements for TL3 a ton especially on the reading topics part (maybe to 10% of topics posted in the last 90 days, and no cap on having to visit 50% of days in the last 3 months).
Just a thought.

25% of the amount posted in the last 100 days.

It’s too restrictive and this is from someone with TL3. It’s not just about gaining TL3 (which is debatable what you gain for such effort) but you also have to maintain it. Take a break for a few weeks you can lose it and have to start again.
People should at least be able to post links and pictures at TL2, lower the reading time as this forum isn’t as active as other games. If you did this, it may have the positive effect that it encourages more people to post here and best of all, maintain that presence on a regular basis.

So make it a time gated thing. 1 mo is TL1, 6 is TL2 and a year is TL3. Or 1, 3 and 6 months. Or just 1, 2 and 3 months.
Don’t think spammers will hang around to spam after three months.
Make suspensions temporary. Suspension lifts, TL returns.
Dunno why it’s gotta segregate.
Time gating can be problematic, as spammers and trolls can create a big reserve of accounts to cellar like wine. Then after a year they bring them out for their own enjoyment.
What if we could post pics, if our HotS account is at least level 100, and we have made 100 posts.
No spammer will bother to install the game and level up that much.

Might be a bit too easy, since spam people could just sit tight for a year and patiently and wait until they are free to troll. Probably needs some kind of involvement rather than just time passed. Like account at 6 months and level 50 in game.

That’s why idk why people here refuse to go to reddit (there are people like that here, no evidence needed from me to support that claim).
