We all know Activision and Blizzard are pretty much the same company now. And Activison owns the rights to some pretty cool characters, such as Crash Bandicoot, Neo Cortex, Coco Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, some other Characters from Skylanders Im not really familiar with but could be interesting.

You can scratch the ‘pretty much’, they ARE the same company for all purposes, and it shows. That said, I don’t think Activision characters will nor should be here, but since Deathwing already has a Spyro-y skin, it’d make sense if they gave Hogger a skin inspired on Crash, or Tiny Tiger.

I suppose Hogger already is a lot like Crash, thatd be another idea if people werent down for other game characters outside the blizz universe. Id love a Crash Bandicoot hogger skin. And also Crash’s motorcycle being a mount would be sweet. Itd be cool to have skins from other Activision games factored in. A crazy Neo Cortex skin, might work for the necromancer. Nazeebo would work for a Nitrus Brio skin. And I could see Li Li or DVA having a Coco Bandicoot skin.

Blizzard should have never created the Nexus Originals. Do you remember Orphea announcement at Blizzcon? How hated it was? Because no one cared about a Nexus Original. We played HoTS for BLIZZARD heroes.
All the resources that went into development and creation of a new character when all those resources could have been put to develop 3-4 heroes easily. It was a waste of resources that lead to the decline of the HoTS development team because of how poorly Orphea was received.
In my opinion, creating the Nexus Originals lead to the decline of the game. They should have gave us a couple of sick heroes from the already established IPs instead of a waste of resources.

Personally nexus originals are fine, I play HOTS for the gameplay, with nexus originals blizzard can explore more themes and movesets.

I play for gameplay too. No one cries about it when they put characters outside of the nintendo universe into smash bros; it’s a huge selling point for the game. In my opinion feels like they’re running out of cool characters from the blizzard universe to incorporate into the game. And of course they still need to keep putting characters into the game from Blizz Universe that we would all like to see.
But also,
Blizz needs to market to new age groups and other people to attract them to their games. Not just cater to people that currently play the game. All their games will eventually die out if they do that (in my opinion). Need new faces.
Sure blizz universe characters are cool for us. But newer players dont GaF about who Illidan is or Thrall, (etc.). Why should they? Those are video game characters from my childhood (not theirs).
Making new characters with new stories of their own is what they should be doing. I doubt Orphea had anything to do with the decline of HoTS. Probably tried that outta desperation because the game was already in decline. Shows they understood that people that play this game are just people from their other games taking a break from raiding, or shooting people in OW.
