My account was banned as well for afking when I have never had a penalty on afking.
I had several actions on language for fighting with people from 2-3 years of game play with my last action im pretty sure at least a year ago.
My issue is there is no decay. If you have had no actions in a year, it should decay. Thats a no brainer. With no decay, you are basically punishing people for being long time players. It actually mind blowing that there is no decay in the system. How can they run this game that badly?
The afking they wont even explain. I dont afk. Never have. I can only guess its probably from people reporting me afk when i leave in the middle of a game if I get frustrated with how badly the match is going. I started doing that so I wouldnt get the silences.
And to make it worse, they refuse to put in a surrender so you are basically screwed. You just have to sit there and take a crappy loss because if you sit in the base with your team, well it can count against you as an afk in the system. Its mind numbingly stupid. You are just screwed and it just makes the game even more toxic.
The problem for blizzard is they just dont care really. They see you as replaceable. You are just a number and they would rather deal less with their terrible system and just let you get the boot.
Im dumb founded at how bad they are at customer service. How can a billion dollar company be this terrible with customer service? I have spent thousands with blizzard over the years and theyve lost me as a customer and im sure they dont care, but thats just sad for them.
Back in my day, all games ever had was a language filter, and everybody was happy. Then noobs discovered video games online and nobody could handle the wild west. They all need padded rooms with report tools. When they announced the silence system, they had a room full of pro-players and e-celebs that stream blizzard games, people that are popular in the esports realm before esports was taken over by the game companies. All these people were paid to cheer when they announced the silence system. I knew when that happened that the game would die. Fanbois will say it was uninstalling HGC because the game wasn’t profitable. The same fanbois said Blizzard decisions made sense because it’s a business. LOL Defending business decisions that lead to failure… Genius.
How does it feel to be the solution to the game design flaw?
You were banned because of how their matchmaker was engineered to frustrate you. Your frustration is deemed your fault. You’re dealt with via an automated report system. That’s their fix to the problem, to delete their fanbase. Geniuses.
This game has a mute and a block function. People can use this. But instead Blizzard added a reporting mini game into HotS which basically has become the main feature of this game. The report system is one of the reason why this game went downhil and stands where it is now.

Then LOL, Dota and Smite should also have thier report system removed by your logic as you can also just mute people in those games.
The block and mute system is bad and garbage.
It doesn’t prevent that person from joining you in another match. All it does is mean that you cannot communicate with that player in a TEAM BASED game.
So just like the reporting system (which is also garbage) it does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Blizzard just doesn’t care about improving the game. People have to wake up and realize this and accept that the game is what it is and will never be better.
