  • add kills

  • add assists x [LostVikings=0.75, Abathur=0.8, other=1]

  • add (timeSpentDead / gameLength) x 100 x [Murky=-1, Gall=-1, Cho=-0.85, other=-0.5]

  • add 1 if player has top hero damage of his team

  • add 1 if player has top hero damage of the match

  • add 1 if player has top siege damage of his team

  • add 1 if player has top siege damage of the match

  • add 1 if player has top healing of the match

  • add 1 if player has top XP contribution of his team

  • add 1 if player has top XP contribution of the match

  • add 0.5 if player is Warrior and has top damage received of his team

  • add 1 if player is Warrior and has top damage received of the match

  • If multiple players share highest score, pick the one with higher XP contribution (or random, if equal XP contribution).

My bet is on KT.
He’s a bit behind on damage but not that much, and he’s got the best kill/death ratio (3).
So.

Maiev seems really good but she’s on the losing team and her KDR (kill death ratio) is of 1.3 which is not that good. Plus hero damage are not excellent, mostly because of team is my guess.
Orphea seems good too, but the KDR is worse than KT’s (2.3). So probably not MVP.

I wouldn’t agree on that. It’s not perfect, but at least kill assists and warriors are recognized for their contribution.
Since the last 2 seasons, I’ve been MVP 27.7% of the time. It kinda gives me the nodders.

My bet is either Kel or Tracer, those 2 have the best K/D ratio as assassins.

(Which, if correct, I would agree is kinda’ BS, but that’s how MVP works.)

Edit: Qhira may also have a chance, depending on how early she got those 4 deaths.

I’m going to vote ummm… Maiev?? Top siege and damage, 3 deaths… Wait no it was the tracer wasn’t it? I have to decide which… I’ll go Maiev final answer.

I know you did. I’m competent enough to compare your forum name to the player names from the screenshot. But I meant that players usually make such threads when they think they deserved the MVP, but surprisingly someone else got it.

Depends who the winning team was. I’d say Orphea or Tracer.

Edit: Interesting. I thought about KT, but I thought the game cared more about kills and assists.

Deaths weigh quite heavily in this game for determining the MVP.

Lucifer posted the detailed system to determine who gets MVP and who not.
It’s more the time spent dead than the number of deaths that decides the ranking.

Why would you think you would get MVP? It was clearly contest between Tracer and KTZ getting it. Tracer had 28 MVP points and 2 deaths. KTZ had 26 MVP points and 2 deaths. You had 25 MVP points but 3 deaths. Only way you could’ve had it was if you died all those deaths start of the game and they died late game.

For the record the MVP scores for that game from highest to lowest without death timer deduction:
Tracer 8+18+2=28
Qhira 8+17+2=27
KTZ 6+18+2=26
Orph 7+12+1+2+1+2=25
Gaz 2+19+2=23
Maiev 4+9+2+1=16
Ray 4+6+2=12
Hammer 2+7=9
Yrel 2+6=8
Fenix 3+4=7

Doesn’t matter because MVP is meaningless in a Team game that only ends in a win or a loss.

Looking at it, I’m thinking either KTZ or Raynor, Orphea missed too many takedowns for the game’s liking. Given that blue lost that’s basically for certain that Raynor lost MVP so KTZ it is.

It isn’t the total number of deaths, but the time spent dead relative to the length of the match. If KTZ went with the phylactery talent, he would have an advantage. I have won MVP as Diablo with 9 deaths, mostly because I did well in other stats, and his trait means that a few of those deaths meant nothing in terms of time spent dead.
