2 moths without a new hero

when I heard that blizzard are removing some developers from the game i was worried a bit when I heard that they are still planning on releasing new heroes still but it would take time I thought ok maybe a month until a new hero still ok.

but flipping seriously 2 months blizzard wtf 2. months unless they are releasing a hero so good it will blow our minds, something everyone has been asking for years like grommash, pit lord or like an eledar aka reaxxes keajidan or archimond maybe even another dreadlord. with a completely new and exciting mechanics I am talking something mind-blowing than and only than I might forgive the 2 months, but come on blizzard not only we didnt get a new hero in 2 months we got such a bad hero imperius. not only is he pretty boring he has nothing new his trait is a copy of orphea’s trait and his abilities aren’t that much fun. seriously blizzard don’t lose this game you can still save it. you made bad decisions in the past start making some good ones starting with a bloody new hero. if you don’t have any ideas just look in the forums some people have some really good ideas.

We’re getting a huge new update (a necessary one) and they should focus mainly on that. We need this update to be close to perfect, because the future of ranked, mmr, matches, quickmatch, and even the future of the game is in line. They need to focus only on that to make it close to perfect.

So, you have allready mastered all existing heroes in perfection? No? So get started and ask for a new hero when you have finished.

They’ve already did some balance changes, a new Hero is welcomed, but I prefer if they actually add more balance changes, as well as probably the events.

Id prefer they perfect the release of the next major update coming with start of next season (march 27th ESD. Things went very wrong the last time the played with MMR stuff so it needs to be done right.

I have at least level 10 on all heroes, what should I do?
(I’m on a break, but still…)

Excelsior!

Pick a hero and stream the road to level 999 like that guy doing it with Illidan (heis level 100ish)

Pretty much this. We had 2 years of constant hero releases and look where that got us, exactly nowhere. They need to fix the fundamental flaws in the game systems before we even think about new heroes. People didn’t leave en-mass because of hero releases.

Why is it bad not to have a hero in 2 months?

I don’t ever remember getting a hero per month…

There is a point in any free to play MOBA where heroes are going to slow down. Every hero they add to the game, it gets more and more difficult to balance out. Personally, I’d prefer they update the heroes in the game that they have before hashing out new ones.

In my eyes, there’s only 2 characters that need a rework for every hero to be at least theoretically optimized and ready for the new class rework: The Lost Vikings and Probius. Once those two get reworked and optimized, then I’ll look forward to a new hero.

Yeah, particularly this guy tbh.

I look at him at character select and I’m like “Dude, there is no point at all to your existence. Not even passing butter…”

Probius is just outdated to the pace of game. He requires ridiculous set-up to work, and even then, there’s several heroes who do his job but better.

The Lost Vikings need a rework simply because they’re terribly outdated. They’re good at one function and one function only, they have one build basically, and each new dive hero creates an additional counter for them to deal with. At the very least, give them all their talents from the get go.

Moths need a hero too.

Just look at dota xD two or three heroes per year at max. I prefer quality gameplay over quantity.

My pet peeve with some heroes is that they were obviously released as pure fanservice, and as vehicles to sell skins with.

No real attention was paid to their viability in the long term, some of these heroes (not going to name any specific ones) haven’t gotten updates for 1+ year or even longer, so Blizzard simply doesn’t care about them anymore. Some of them haven’t even had a skin release ever since they first entered the game (Ragnaros and Fenix for one).

They got released, sold a number of skins, and served their purpose in corporate eyes.

it used to be a thing. 3-4 weeks per hero until roughly fenix’s release.

well said. it’s a big deal.
