2 moths without a new hero

Game’s got a hefty amount of heroes already, I’d rather them focus on improving the quality of gameplay (matching, matchmaker, ranked system update, and so on…)

It’s not like the game is at 40 heroes stadium and needs new ones or ppl would stop playing tbh… in fact that state has ALREADY PASSED, and it’s hard to make it worse, they just better focus on a “quality content” rather than trying to bring something (or someone) new

Non-humans are far harder to make skins for. Dehaka also never got a new skin until Christmas this year. That’s just how things go.

i hope its not anduin, he’s boring.

while i will always hope for our lord and savior DEATHWING,
there are plenty of other interesting heroes to add,
reinhardt would be fun with his directional shield eating up projectiles
and his charge, and ofcourse HAMMER DOWN!

Or, the loss in devs is taking them a lot longer to complete a hero most of the way through it’s development than they thought. What they really need is to give people insight into the new content release schedule otherwise they cannot begin to rebuild trust in the community.

as i pointed out in another thread though even very far back there were instances of 2 month releases. where the time between heroes was actually very far apart.

He is good for aram and ‘hold the ground’ obejctives, great zoning.

As for hero releases - all MOBAs have roughly same realese rate - DOTA, Smite, LoL ( or even slower).

Where have you been? Some of us remember getting 2 at once. Then another hero release every 3 weeks unless there was an event/holidays.

They have some new heroes/reworks already in progress, I don’t think a new hero is delayed because of less devs working on it. These ranked changes are huge and they can’t mess up. They also said in the AMA what is coming next, so it should be new season + ranked changes + soft reset + new event, but they didn’t say anything about a new hero. I believe they are mostly working on these changes first.

My best guess would be they simply don’t want to push out too much content at once, especially with the december announcement. They don’t want to do a hero release then another big update a week or two later.

By the game’s definition, you’ve “mastered” a hero when you reached level 15 of that hero. Which gives you a nice golden rim on their portrait in the hero selection screen.

Reaching level 10 requires a total of 5,250,000 exp.
Reaching level 15 requires a total of 11,150,000 exp. Which means another 5,900,000 more exp to go from 10 to 15.

Therefore, those level 10 heroes of your aren’t even near half way through to being “mastered”.

Keep playing. And have fun.

I’ll take your word for it, did they give a time table for that? Cause that’s what I meant by release schedule.

To me without something to hold them to I can’t have confidence in the team because they themselves aren’t showing any. If they gave a time table for all that I’ll retract it.

Well, they said it is all coming with the new season soon, and we know this season ends on 26th this month. That’s it though.

Just 10 ? get that gold ring boi push for 15…

I always wonder what brings people to write something like this. It has always been roughly one month in between hero releases when the game did “okay”.

Nowadays, we could be very happy, if we’d move into League territory with 3 to 4 heroes per year or even like Dota2, where they get one every 9 months or so…

First matchmaking, another things after.

It takes months to make a Hero and evidence of that is the making of Kel’thuzad video.

The devs should focus more on MM, Rank, map/hero balance and game features.

Well… I do.

All the ones I want to use at least. XD

OP the old hero release cadence was 3 weeks to 4 weeks. And your expectation after they told us that they were going to slow down was one month?

Expect this to be more like 3-4 heroes per year. The same as in Overwatch.

I’m level 630 in this game and i can honestly say that well over half of the roster i have at level 1. There’s a LOT to do in this game. If you’re level 10+ with every hero then first of all WOW and second of all, you’re in the minority.

IMO the game’s old content release schedule was too aggressive.

The very old cadence. They have long gone to release - reworks -release which made the release cycle more two months than one.

HotS does not need new heroes, it needs a ranked mode. Current one is a bad joke.

In order to do so they need to:
-keep smurfs out of ranked
-keep inexperienced players out of ranked
-somehow have MMR actually reflect player skill(adjust placement, introduce decay)
-have ranked give a feeling of accomplishment. I’m stuck in my rank since forever. Ranked mode should be a climb starting over each season.
