This is for WoW forever… Would have made this post on the official WoW forums but even though I have multiple characters at level 10+ I cannot post there…The whole system for WoW is just awful
Takes you back doesn’t it? Back to the days with no communication and ZERO expectations on when the game will be playable…
Like seriously after 20+ years in the business it is crazy to think that the Blizzard Update Team sits in the circle j**k room going…
Main Dev “Hey guys we have been doing this for over 2 decades now… So do we all agree that the best time for updates is RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY, when everyone is home and ready to play?”
Devs “Yes, that is the best time! Not when the majority of the player base is asleep, why we would do that? We should plan out our updates to maximize anxiety and make it so that people are drawn to the game like Flys to Poop when the Servers are back up!”
Main Dev “Yes of course. So, let’s do the update right at 12pm, and MAKE SURE that it is AT LEAST 6 hours of downtime. So that when everyone is home at 6PM they all log in at once, causing massive server issues. Wait no, let’s make them wait longer. The whole day should be good, right.”
Devs “Oh yes, the time when the least amount of players are on is obviously the worst time to do an update…We should be maximizing our “We are doing our best to make the game playable” but not actually communicate any type of updates or anything that would indicate as to why our Updates take soooo long.”
Main Dev “This is great feedback! And should we try to be better in any aspect considering we have been doing this exact same thing since Vanilla and Classic release?”
Devs “Of course not, those flies will continue play our game because of the nostalgia and new experiences. Regardless of how bad customer service continues to be. We’ve been getting away with this for 20+ years, why change now?”
Main Dev "I dont know, maybe because it is 2026 and the world is full of S-Tier games that other people can play and we want to keep our player base and not repeat the same mistakes that killed the Classic launch?
Devs “Hahahahahaha, flies will eat poop regardless of the flavors. These flies will continue to eat our Forever poop so who cares?”
Its almost like half the team rolled into work late and drunk today and they were like…“Well I guess we will do the update now.”
