Discussion on the mini set being underwhelming for the most part. Not because the cards are bad, but because the game is so fast cards seemingly have to be broken to make an impact
I personally am not a fan of how fast the game has become. I agree with the Regis’s take on SNAP’s influence on the developers to make games faster.
Can people stop talking about powercreep just one second?
Or are people a broken record?
If you really want to talk about how this mini set is bad there is far simple stuff to point as most card being not only from this mini set but from this entire set being a rehash of older archtypes.
If this is how they plan on continue to release content then they better creating some p2w stuff as a card upgrade system because the final result is really no different.
That to not even talk their dumb approach to mini sets. Literally releasing one tourist for every class would have had a bigger impact in the game than what they done.
But for some reason they think that “impact the meta” is making older decks swap a card or two.
The proof is the transformation BSM passed by.
Also one thing about this must be noted:
To the hell with anyone talking about how they feel. It is exactly because we keep talking about how someone feel that we just bring down a deck or two instead of a bigger change. It is 100% their fault that the feedback is always bad and i decided to have no shame about pointing it anymore.
Theres no other way to say this but Zeddy is an idiot, or he is playing to his audience for clicks.
What he purposes in terms of power has been proven to not work.
Rastakhan’s Rumble was an expansion that the devs did what the content creators were saying to disastrous results.
He flip flops like crazy on his takes , 1 week prior to the expansion he was saying Mage was in need serious help.
Now he turns the outrage machine on a deck that by his own admission gets destroyed by countless others.
I think he needs to focus on building badass lego sets but those dont come cheap so here we are.
I stopped listening to Zeddy years ago. He cannot speak beneath a scream.
But I do listen to Regis, and now even he has gone mainly SNAP. Not a good sign for HS imo.
I agree at least that his schtick is grating at times, but i also am not a fan of how fast the game has become. I liked the other side of turn 10 xD
I must admit am hopelessly addicted to value burgle rogue and proactive gameplans will always be better than trying to outvalue or react to what your opponent is doing.
I still preferred otk decks that were more cumbersome and when people got angry when they came out on turn 9 because that was too soon xD
As much as Rastakhan’s rumbles gets flak, a good number of cards saw use in the following year. Sure, it didn’t create new archetypes on launch, but I don’t consider it a flop at all.
The only set I’d call a flop is grand tournament. Almost nothing in that was playable, both jousting and inspire were god awful…
" Who am I? None of your business"
That set is responsible for a line that will never leave my brain until i die.
And i dont remember many, its mainly Frost Lich Jaina lines that i wont forget.
I honestly liked Rastakhan’s. It was a weaker set, yes, but it enabled a bunch of stuff in the next year. The only thing that made me extra sad was hireek because warlock had literally no good way to hand buff it.
It’s kind of sad because before the mini dropped the meta was really fun and had lots of varied decks to play in it. There’s still a selection of decks to play but you need to be able to combat the Mage high roll in order to be viable. That feels really bad IMO.
