its literally 5% higher win rate than the old 30 card
The sample size isnāt enough to determine that. Come on now. One whole day and we are declaring a specific deck OP and broken? I think not.
Maybe they arenāt playing the match correctly?
What is the xl list people are talking about, Iām not seeing anything on the aggregation sites, I donāt really play lol.
Try here.
Youāre conversing with the same person who insists that Rainbow Shaman wasnāt good and doesnāt exist despite being proven wrong dozens of times.
The same person who claimed they always admit when they are wrong, yet given the chance to do so has purposefully dodged admitted they are wrong.
Youāre better off talking to a wall.
XL basically means add in Renathal. You can pretty much build the decks from there for the most part using the original 30 cards + Renathal + any other 9 cards you think might be good or that is a mix of other lists that include the Ā± cards decks use as fill ins.
Havenāt played much but Iāve been crushing all forms of BSM as fatigue lock up to top 500 and beyond, but I play a very aggressive home brew/tech that goes full draw, havenāt played in a while tho and admittedly havenāt seen the xl version, though I was crushing xl warriors without a sweat
Iām not saying heās specifically wrong but a decks power cannot be determined within a day. He way very well be beating all these decks and DKās but itās a day out from the patch. Many players might not be familiar with the match or have decks that havenāt evolved from the patch.
I would just say we caution ourselves before declaring the deck is the beeās knees.
But thatās just it. Even if the data shows the deck is good, heāll reject it. And the reason heāll reject it is because that would show he is wrong initially.
This is the same argument as when BSM mini-set went haywire. He insisted Painlock isnāt a counter despite that fact that Painlock was THE counter.
Still hasnāt admitted that error. Still hasnāt admitted their error on Rainbow Shaman. Thereās a slew of other things he still hasnāt admitted to being wrong about.
NoHands version (or whoever, I only saw him play it):

To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone
Basically, itās a Renathal 40-card version of control BSM and itās super fun and super strong
My version looks kinda whacky, but itās 72% winrate so far xD
Can anyone pinpoint what makes this xl deck so much better than the 30 card? Is it the fact that it canāt be as easily burned down and thus can get the mana cheat in vs aggressive decks?
Iām guessing the 40 cards may help in slow matchups that let you grind your opponent.
See this is exactly what i am talking about. This is a version of the one being played that has evolved specifically to match with the current meta. I guarantee most players are playing far too much anti aggro in these decks still and getting no value from those cards in most matches.
I sat down and trimmed out 8 cards from my Blood DK because the hyper aggro has basically disappeared after the patch. I have a version with 40 cards but i am not sure which one is better yet. Need more games to really tell if the 40 health is needed. Early thoughts would be triple blood doesnāt but the Rainbow and BBP probably benefit more from it.
I donāt have enough games with the specific deck but if i was to take a guess based on playing 30 cards. The 40 card deck has more āgas in the tankā if they donāt end the match early on. Thatās generally how triple blood DK beat the BSM by just outlasting them. Could also just be more tech in the deck. Thatās just a guess though.
Keep in mind aggro basically disappeared ATM as well.
Honestly, this is a major point that cannot be ignored.
Everyone and their mother and next door neighborās pet goldfish is playing Renathal decks atm.
And if aggro has essentially disappeared, you can trim your 30 card decks down and remove a lot of the anti-aggro stuff and improve your win rate until aggro decides to come back.
Which has ruined the format entirely.
It was a stupid decision, because itās not something that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Event cards should be something fun playable by all.
The 30 card bsm is still super good as well because super aggro decks have ledt the meta which means getting to your big powerful cards quicker than the 40 card version, at least in theory.
But the 40 card version saves you from some of the mid range decks like rogue.
Edit the deck no hands was running, if ya look at it wouod be vulnerable to hyper aggro to be honest, it has very little early defense, primordial and one scarab and two salesman and thags about it
It is playable by all.
For real, it is seeing play in the majority of classes lol.
Iām seeing influx of Cancer Warrior with Renathal being back. It was great not playing against this crap while it lasted, I like playing slower decks and hate losing my ability to play the game due to bombs nuking my cards.
Badly unless itās Reno, or mage or other combo deck.
Itās very bad on a refined aggro deck for example.
Is it the fact that it canāt be as easily burned down and thus can get the mana cheat in vs aggressive decks?
Yes, thats exactly why.
I guess it takes a top 200 player to realize how much one more turn means for a control tempo deck!
And since its true what Daellan sad that hyperaggro decks disappeared, you actually have closer to 2 additional turns to take over the game, rather than 1 or 0.
Extra gas is what adds another layer of fun and unpredictability (many more combos are possible!), but its also a nuisanse, since it waters down your key synergies.
So when all is added and subtracted, its the extra turn of survival which sealed the deal
Im afraid Neon is right this time about Renathal, even though he was claiming the same when it was mediocre
