People were complaining about the the extremely slow turns. Turns out it can be overwhelming for new and returning players.
So fix the builds rather than speed up the game. They arnt fun anymore. Beasts Pirates and Undead are not fun to play.
I’m stopping playing BattleGrounds for now.
So that fast combat thing is intentional? I haven’t played BG in a while…thought it was some kind of bug.
And thankful for it. Who wants to sit there and watch, in slow motion, the same minion die, over and over? A certain undead pirate needs to be removed OR have it only apply to undead.
The absurdly long amount of time it takes for the animations to run needed to be reduced. I’m glad they implemented the rapid combat animations.
Just understand, this came from years of requesting that Blizzard give players an option to turn off animations (and again, they didn’t listen).
The amount of time wasted each turn on card animations is more damaging to the playability of the mode, than the animation speed during combat is. You can literally lose 5-7 seconds or more just waiting on animations, which is enough to make a few more moves, if you didn’t have to wait on animations.
Why won’t Blizzard let you turn them off? Because they have digital artists that work really hard on the animations, and they want the art to be displayed. They don’t give two Dirty Rats what the player wants. They care what they want. And they want animations, so you get to deal with rapid combat animations, rather than providing what the players are asking for.
