Its not just Wildfire though?
it is when I look at HSReplay most played cards atm
(wand thief frequency is coming from rogue decks)
Thats the thing im not trying to improve a 30% match up.
I focus on the matchs i can win against the class that sees to most play Paladin.
Having armor gains in the 7+ all the time is a big plus for me also Arcane Overflow is not a card a want to draw with Balinda.
I stopped running Balinda and started running fire sales and wildfire instead. My win rate went up. I’ll probably drop to one arcane brilliance as well. It’s a great reload card but not something I usually want early.
Could be right! Lets all lay off the Mage everyone so I can play them for once.
It is not. Sorry for the spoiler.
but you can´t tutor out wildfire and the whole package falls apart if you don´t hit it, so it´s always better to replace the hero power package with something else.
and then you´ll still have a Tier 4 deck.
(and yea i played you this late morning with a magelist involving tony in the hp mess).
hmm is wildfire needed ? with the upgrade we got now you can use your own minions to help you increase magister damage
so widfire helps but you dont desperately need it if using magister is what you are going for
It’s more like jace DH runs 2 big threats.
Each by itself is not enough. But both together are.
my experience aswell with overflow, it really looks like a great card in theory, but in praxis you either clear a huge threat and then have no upside as for a class without buffs summoning a 2/2 is just irrelevant - or you clear a nonthreat to create an ok box of textless stats that´ll just be delt with anyway.
So what looks like a win/win of clearing+developing in praxis is mostly either or and therefor hardly worth 5mana. can be great though if a warlock leaves a mo´arg on board.
Does Wildfire transfer over to new hero power? Like FLJ or Magister Hero power
ya i actually kind of hated that change because mass polymorph was a great way to start the chain going, and there’s so many 3 health minions (which is why its so weird that siphon hits 2 given so many other honorable kills being in the odd category i feel like frostbite, WHICH NEEDS TO HAVE A CAP OF 10 BTW).
I’m using the Regis deck at the moment to much more success than big spell mage, probably because it has so much more to do to get them to the 8-10 turn. Strangely, it’s the opposite of my old deck. My old one, if I could get to turns 8-10, I usually could win (aside from DR/quest priest or lock), but most comps are designed to utterly obliterate you by then.
It does post-patch

The change is better if you are playing her power mage but its also worst for a Big Spell Mage only deck.
I wish it went to 3 dmg already the even numbers are also harder to activate than the odd numbers.
Theres not that many 4 Hp minions and i find myself jumping hoops to pass that next stage.
Big spell mage has a few 4 health minions in their pool (at least the one I run, mainly the evokers). Honestly, against priest is the only time that the even ramp up comes in handy with the lightwardens at 6/6 and the armor at 8/8 (I’ve gotten hp to 16 against them before, it was a hilarious game)
I also started running wildfire in my big spell deck to try and help with early game as well as noticing that I was relying on one ignite and my HP to close out the long games.
i think i played 60+ games with multiple versions of hp mage since the nerfs/buffs. And this is the list i ended up with until now.

A flexible spot imo would be 1 deepwater envoker. But i need to play some more games to know what the deck is lacking right now
Most people would probably be happy with a 4-damage hero power which hits any target.
yea, but they have other strong cards.
right now a 4dmg hero power is still not doing much work for mage, especially since you need long games to get the value.
It’s not like all you’re doing is pressing the button. You’re also firing off masks, runes, freezes, etc. With Deck of Lunacy you’re dropping Survival of the Fittest and Nagrand Slams.
again, past turn 10 if you want to drop all that. if you´re lucky. most likely 12-14.
have you played the game recently?
