I think you can use other stuff to win, like big minions + loatheb, or even the NEW chtun.
I am planning in crafting these 2 cards, just to make a triple chtun warlock

It seems like you don’t realize this deck’s worst matchup IS secret mage.
For that reason, your thread doesn’t make much sense (no offense)
Because of course, you certainly don’t mind a completely new broken combo deck that beats everything else when your main deck counters it.
Even Meowth said if you want to be #1 Legend right now just play Secret mage since most people are playing this new warlock deck, which loses bad to burn.
However… if that new deck were to completely obliterate your secret mage, I guarantee your POV would be very different.

Is it weak to secret mage because of counterspell + explosive runes? Those should both stop the combo cold if not played around right?
Yeah… also these type of decks are usually very weak to burn so they lose unless they draw their combo very early (which is possible) and mage has secrets that can potentially ruin their combo too.

Explosive runes is still better than polymorth, though. The minion you want to kill has exactly 6 hp. You don’t need oasis. The idea is to use counterspell/poly/rune every turn from 5 on to screw with his combo (while still maintaining board presence and continuing to burn him down)
It loses to cutelock, aggro rogue (probably tempo rogue and kingsbane as well), darkglare warlock. Probably aggro druid as well (idk if 2 defiles do it)
It’s winrate is far better vs most archetypes than darkglare warlock, but unlike darkglare it has exploitable weaknesses.
So, it’s not necessarily op, but simply too meta-warping like tiller.

Well ofc, I said it loses to burn decks AKA super aggro decks.
Which is, honestly, most of the ladder xD
Though, not all aggro decks are burn decks (dmg from hand/weapon decks). Cutelock and aggro druid are board centric, wheareas discolock has far more burst, but is probably too slow.
Secret Mage is a slow aggro deck and probably more tempo-ish in nature. It’s the disruption that does the deed most of the time vs the new deck.

The damage from Life Tap is not part of the cost, it is part of the effect. It’s why you can Life Tap with a full hand, the Hero Power still does something, while you can’t use the Paladin or Shaman Hero Powers while your board is full or the Shaman one if you have all 4 basic totems in play.
My spell damage priest destroyed such a warlock by turn 7 but i got lucky i guess. Managed to have in hand 5 spells discounted to 0 man that heal/dmg 5. Took him by surprise and pants down with an Auchenai.

Because it’s pretty obvious from your narrative.
Whenever mage is in a bad spot, you are the first one to complain and blame the balance team.
Why would it be any different in that scenario ? You honestly want me to believe you’d be fine if the ‘‘new broken deck played by 50% of the players’’ had a winrate of 80% against secret mage ?

My critiques have been about Standard Mage and why Team 5 chose to abandon it.
Team 5 printed unrelated cards when they could have given two tier four decks support.

I’m just stating my opinion, I have nothing personal against you.
I’ve known you for a very long time, there is no way you would behave that way towards the new deck if it wasn’t so weak to your main deck, IMO.
Wild is wild, sure, we shall wait and see what happens when secret mage becomes invalid and loses to most of the popular meta decks. Perhaps your narrative will significantly change at that point.
