Why won't Wayward Probe come to standard?

I would like to play Wayward Probe in standard. Yeah, it’s probably too slow for standard, but so is the entire starship mechanic. At least it would be fun to build some bigger and more unique starships. It also fits perfectly in starship rogues playstyle. Even with this card starships wouldn’t become playable, not to mention good, but more fun at least.

GDB is already a weak set. Starships are aleady a weak mechanic. Their aren’t enough starship pieces to make the thing work. Why is Wayward Probe arena only?

It doesn’t need much imagination. It would be “abused” massively by rogues and death knights and shamans, getting a billion pieces and making a massive starship.

and then bob steals it, womp womp

And I had to concede whenever one would Dirty Rat Lynessa from the OTK deck, anything is possible, but in this case it disrupts the Devs’ design too obviously.

PS Rogue also gets advantages by using different classes stuff by being from different classes alone, which is probably the biggest culprit here.

i think spaceships are hilarious a single devolve can mess up the entire plans for whoever plays it. or a mind control or a silence.

im so glad for once the new playstyles arent op

For rogue: Wayward Probe is a 4 mana 4/3. That’s miserable. Rogue already has a 2 mana 3/2 for starship generation.

For deathnight: Yes there is some deathrattle synergy. So what? Considering how underpowered starship-dk is right now, I’m not shure if that would make the class even playable.

For shaman: The only thing shaman could play to “abuse” Wayward Probe is Shudderblock. That one has far more valuable targets already and will get Ghost and Raynor. I don’t even think they would use Shudderblock on Wayward Probe. And even if they do: Is that really the most broken thing you can do right now? Get 3 random starship pieces?

Wayward probe isn’t even a powerful card. Just let us have fun with it. Maybe it makes a starship deck playable. None of the starship decks would become tier 1 because of it. But maybe, just maybe, we finally get a tier 2 deck.
