Why is an exclusive ranked Card Back For Sale now? (naxxramas)

Has blizzard started selling exclusive card backs people earned in ranked now for straight up cash? Or is there an event or promo or something i’m missing?

If not it’s a sad day when they start doing this.

Yup.

And last year they gave out the Ragnaros card back for free. So while the price point is new, bringing back old card backs isn’t.

pretty sure naxx card back was from the adventure, so players had to pay for it back then aswell.

Yes, but the card back was incentive and limited to the expansion. It could be argued that we still “earned” it by being active and buying the expansion at its release.

Blizzard has done this across all games now though. In WoW, I had mounts only obtainable from hard modes and limited offers. I come back to wow and find everyone has them now. (They used to prevent players from going back and completing it later when they leveled up for the new expansion).

Blizzard makes more money selling out.

this is more of a situation where the few old players that actually gets upset by this is wastly outnumbered by the number of newer players that are happy for the chance to get an old adventure card back. similar to reprints in other card games.

fine but it would be nice if i could buy the 3 last cardbacks that i am missing then.

Well, I have the s1,2 and 3 cardback and other ones from HS, so far a few rare ones have apeared on the online shop, Blizztard is a money company, back when I started in 2004 they made their games with the intention of making them as good as possible, nowadays, they make games to make as much money money as possible, and it shows in HS, Diablo and modern WoW…

If they ever start bringing my Gladiator Tabards from WoW to the online store, it’s time to stop supporting this very questionable brand, what they do with HS card backs isn’t justifiable. The only reason I still play it is because I don’t really care about Hearthstone, my turf is WoW…

The brand I grew up with, is dead sadly, I just hope it at least keeps itself somewhat alive for a few years to come.
