I realize just now that I have to click on the achievements in the menu so they are added to my achievement points, but why? It seems so dumb and unintuitive to me, if I get an achievement just add the points when it happens, simple.
Is it really working as intended or the devs are planning to change that and I missed the blog post?
Because this game is more and more like a mobile game,a whole system for pumping out money, soon a new algorithm will be created, so until you click on achievements, new ones will not be added .
Unless it’s an achievement for Experience Points, which includes Ranked milestones and Darkmoon achievements, you really don’t have to click the achievements. You could let them pile up and click a bunch in one go, or you could just ignore those parts of the journal that give no Experience. The Achievements score is just a number for now.
just focus on the exp ones and leave the other unclaimed

I kept thinking there was some sort of conversion of achievement points to XP but I guess not
As far as I understand it, it’s to a) help clarify why you’re getting the various rewards and b) make you aware of all the other “cool” stuff (or menial tasks) you could be doing for rewards.
It’s tedious, that’s all.
It’s a waste of time, and abuses the human psychology of wanting everything caught up and dealt with.
I don’t mind it, but I do think it’d be nice to have an “auto collect” feature for achievements. Maybe just make it an option in settings so you can go click them all if you want, or just receive them right away. Add a setting to do the same for the Rewards as well. In most cases it would be better to just collect the rewards automatically. But say you are someone who has all the legendaries from the set. You want that Level 25 reward to sit there until the mid expansion additions.
So yeah, a setting or mayeb a “collect all” button for achievements to at least speed up the process would be nice. But I’d rather have them just improve the rewards track instead…
is the same as trophies some love getting all the trophies of any game they play
those achievements are in HS for them it isnt for everyone
It’s a really weird choice to collect them yourself, like… in wow, you don’t have this problem.
Yeah, I don’t like how you have to click to get rid of the notification flag. It’s super annoying to have to scroll and find them all just to get rid of the flag. WTB options setting to auto complete achievements
that’s was made to remind you - this game wasting your time on nothing, avoid it
The least they could do is have the completed achievements on TOP, so I don’t have to $&*% scroll down for hours trying to find the bugger!
Because people on their mobile machines love to press a screen out of the boredom and this gives them new purpose of pressing the screen.
