Battlegrounds has far more players and exposure. It has the by far most vieuwer on twitch of any gamemode. The ratio between bg vieuwers and constructed vieuwers is like 5 to 1 or even better for bg.
Except right after an expansion has come out,then its about equall for a 2-3 weeks.
The thing with Battlegrounds is there’s no wild version of it. They don’t have to keep all the old minions and old versions of current minions and heroes around taking up valuable space on phones, even though I’m sure there are a few players who would enjoy playing older BG metas.
Battleground has no net deck and way more competitive and complex than the Standard or Wild.
It’s the best mode in game
