Where are all the Hearthstone guides; coverage?

For a few expansions now, it’s seems like it’s harder and harder to get even a simple written guide on how to pilot a new type of deck that’s just been invented.

It used to be that day one, you could go somewhere like Icyveins or Hearthpwn to get a few paragraphs giving you tips on how to play it optimally. Now, it seems to take forever if at all for there to be even one class deck guide for the new xpac across the entire internet. I’m talking about piloting not building. Heck, Icy Veins doesn’t even have a March of the Lich King section yet.

Yes, there are youtube videos and twitch streamers. But, personally, I find no value in them as they’re much more focused on demonstration than explanation.

Is the game just old and therefore less popular than it once was such that people don’t bother any longer? Has the game become so focused around veteran hardcore players that there aren’t enough casuals worth making content for who want to climb ladder but aren’t pressed about it ? Or is it something else? Is Hearthstone has gone the way of WoW in that you have to go full sweaty gamer to do well in it. Then, I’m probably out.

Doomer rant concluded.

The fact that streamers are starting to venture into covering other games shows us they are not confident in the state of the game.
