I came back for Classic. Its been a lot of fun but its getting stale. The naxx cards are so unique and add a lot of flavor to the meta. Not to mention it would be a great chance to re-launch the solo adventure mode and make some $$$ blizzard; we all know how much you like that.
For those of you who don’t know: Naxxramas was the first expansion launched for hearthstone. It had the same bosses as the raid; you would need to craft an individual deck for each boss. You did have to purchase it; but unlike other expansions you got 30 cards that unlocked as you beat the adventure. It was an insane value and made it easy to get a good chunk of cards. Part of the reason why blizzard stopped doing this is because people were buying less packs. The very last expansion that did this was Karazan.
To clean up the shop and add less confusion to new players, blizzard removed this expansion from the store; but you can still get it if you search on their website. https://us.shop.battle.net/en-gb/product/hearthstone-curse-of-naxxramas
I would hope they would offer a discount when they re-release it; but regardless if you like wild mode, you should complete it.

They have said they’re thinking about adding expansions to Classic but have no concrete plans or timelines as of yet.

why add Naxx to Classic when you go ahead and add Stormwind?
Imagine the impact!

If they would quit harassing the help maybe we could get a decent PR team.
I really liked this aspect of the old adventures. It makes sense why they move away from it since it didn’t make nearly as much as random card packs, but I still think it was a lot of fun.

We’ve had a ton of communication lately. Dean Ayala does frequent Q&As. Much more than previously.
“We don’t know when we’ll do it” isn’t bad PR just because you don’t like the message.

They’re hiring. What are you waiting for? Join the Hearthstone team!

Quest priest might actually have a fair chance in classic lmao. 4 mana yeti, 6 mana bolderfist ogre, imagine the value!

would be curious to see Quest Warlock with classical cards - imagine Pit Lord is playable!
Oh and Giants still going to be there =) Molten and Mountain
Naxx alone isn’t a good idea. That meta was defined by Undertaker because a turn 1 undertaker was very difficult for anyone other than mage and priest to answer before it snowballs

I’m not the biggest fan of their PR since like 2016. They dance from controversy to controversy and screw up big time; then proceed to go radio silent and just expect everyone to forget about it. Warcraft 3 hasn’t had an update or announcement since the first few months of launch. So forgive me if I ask for a clearer response.

How can they be more clear than “we don’t know?” Unless you’re saying they do have plans and timeliness but are refusing to share them.
Especially considering they’ve done a 180 within the past 5 years and harass the groups that companies like Google and Coke have been harassing lately…(hint it’s not women).
They should not think about it at all. Get rid of Classic, Wild and Standard. Instead match based on used Sets/Expansions in the Deck.
It would be more fair, allows “baning”, removes the need for power creep, because cards don’ t have to compete with existing cards and it gives the player the possibility to play the hearthstone wanted, as long one finds an opponent with a matching Deck.

The match-finding time would take an eternity.
Imagine you can combine the newest expansion with 2-3 from the past and find an opponent that wants exactly the same thing. Maybe if Hearthstone had 2 billion players but not like this.

Eternity souns like an exaggeration.
Not trendy expansion-combis would require longer que-times, yeah which is fine. Want something special, it will take a while.
How many people would like to play exactly, for example, Un’Goro+Scholomance+Barrens?
There are around 288 combinations(every one of those with a different meta) and I only took in consideration the idea where you are forced to choose only 2 expansions. If we go after the idea that you pick how many expansions you want, to number increases alot.

Idk but I’m definitely in favor of more options. Worse case scenario someone waits 20+ minutes for a match. The vast majority of the time the queues would be pretty quick. The community would learn pretty fast “well looks like gnomes vs goblins set is pretty fast queues and popular”. If anything do like a tavern brawl and rotate a few main sets frequently.
In regards to Classic… I would have one match queue reserved for 3-6 months of nothing but one set. That lets people rank up over time, learn the meta, spend some dust and get some play time. In addition have a second match queue reserved monthly for a frequently rotating set
I like Classic just the way it is. I hope they leave it for the time being.
