I think they plan on adding Naxx into Classic around rotation time. they are supposedly debating if they should add any other expansions with it. (GVG/BRM)
My dream Heathstone Mode is a bi-monthly wild rotation mode
a core set with 2/3 expansions + 2 adventures that rotate randomly every 2 months (kind of like Arena)
Iâve been playing for about 3-4 months. Iâve tried a variety of decks and just hit legend last month. I used warrior but after awhile the meta is very consistent. Iâve been trying desperately to make priest effective but its just not realistic. I just want some new cards to work with.
Well Priest does get better in later expansions as I recall, but itâs all about survival in Classic.
If you can out last them to say, turn 5 or 6 then you almost always win.
Priest had like Anduin in standard like Knights of the Frozen throne and like Barrens control priest. Maybe a few sprinkles of like a few divine shield otks and boss cheeses, but i donât remember it being meta that often outside of stealing peopleâs cards and then getting hated.
At least it had raza priest in wild for a great deal though and there was velen and spawn of shadows otks and recruiter combos and all sorts of strange things you could make with it, really homebrew supportive deck since you could just remake 28/30 cards in it as long as you kept the reno, and raza and anduin, you could play a deck with recover and lots of midgame and build it however you want, and as long as your cards had value with a life reset you were gold and the raza and anduin could close games out well too. Really great and supportive 3 card core honestly to enable so many fun 20/30 new card lists. I miss it.
With classic priest currently; I can only really win a match if I get an early blademaster or Twilight Drake. Even then if Iâm vsing a druid its almost an automatic loss. Anytype of rush deck you can only beat if you get the turn 4 board clear. Even then its usually still a loss.
Iâve tried everything I can think of to make Priest viable but its just not there
i dont know what youâre whining about. the format is a dead zone. no one plays it. it needs expansions. right now they are planning to add Naxx⌠probably around rotation time. they wil likely add more expansions at some point, but they want to keep the classic feel. the debate is⌠how many expansions do they go before it loses the âclassicâ hearthstone feel.
Classic mode was fantastic. The same will go for playing the next classic version of an expansion; naxxramas.
Just like with classic World of Warcraft; made them a lot of money, brought fans back, fans got bored and they moved on to the burning crusade; and the game is booming. Yet non of those fans pipe up and say âclassic burning crusade would be great if we could get shadowland features into the gameâ. No because it sucks.
I really donât think that is the case, there are several other reasons to play classic and lots of people myself included have spent resources on classic packs, itâs incredibly budget friendly and I still would recommend to new players that classic is the better starting point than standard unless you have really deep pockets.
I actually really like the look of Alterac Valley so far and maybe people wonât be playing classic so much. Itâs probably going to be the best set since Dragons if and when pirate warrior gets nerfed just a whisker itâll be even better and Iâm pretty sure it will be nerfed a few weeks after Alterac Valleyâs release. I donât think that wild players will be willing to spend so much on the new expansion when the only deck you need is questline warrior, at saying that I donât want them to kill the deck as in overnerf because that seems to be their general pattern.
