What have you had fun with today?

Yes, playing has been hard. There’s tons of threads about it so please try to stay on topic.

I’ve managed to play 15 or so games. The most fun has been with hand buff warrior. 14/14 worth of taunts for 5 mana is great. Playmaker plus Rokara is gross. Playmaker plus Overlord Runthak is also scary as heck. Even just Rokara and a warmaul challenger will ruin someone’s day.

I’ve been having fun with a patron warrior deck and a control warlock deck that doesn’t rely on jank tickatus combos

What are your closers for warlock?

Jaraxxus and to a lesser extent primordial protector into either siphon soul or twisting nether and kazakus

First impressions is that kazakus is major good to be honest, like the 5 mana golem is good, and if you can manage to bring him back into hand lattwrnthe 10 mana one is bibkers

This is kinda fun but also not that great and needs some refinement. The 3 mana secret guy is very good though.

modified my trampling rhino deck. it has a 100% win rate (only 1 game). It turned out to be better than I expected, because I have more ways to get a buffed rhino in hand than before.

Rush Warrior and Spell dmg/Hero Power Mage are my favorites so far. Still messing around with deck burn Warlock, but it’s mostly a joke on my end anyway.

Still want to mess around with Secret Paladin and Enhancement/Burn Shaman.

after quite a few games with various attempts at making penflinger rogue work vs all the aggro that i’m facing, i ended up removing both Ticket masters in favor of our good ol’ SI:7 and god did they make a difference!

it still is a slow deck though and i need a bit more payof. I think finding the right balance will be a bit tricky.

but the deck that surpised me a lot was elemental shaman. Just pulled a really random collection of cards to finish a 3 games with shaman and 10 nature spells quests, and even with suboptimal list (no brukan, lots of nature spells just because they are nature spells for the quest) i still got like 3 wins in 4 games.

super tiny sample ofc, but the list felt solid vs everything i faced, and as i said above there’s tons of optimisations to it.

really happy with it.

Some1 pick the phone becaus I fing called it! Rokara is good, @shroud I feel the same, some good pay of is needed but I guess that’s for future expansions to solve

She and Playmaker make a hilariously good pair.

I underestimated her for sure, but I did NOT foresee Playmaker being a part of so many good turns.

I called Rokara as being good when i saw her.

but what i havent considered was the combo with the 1/10. God that’s brutal with the correct target!

Patron Warrior? In Wild, I guess? Can you share your list?

To answer OP, I had some fun playing Classic then later starting copying lists from Twitter and seeing which cards I was missing and replacing them. I played one game of Spell Mage, which was pretty fun. I saved a handful of burn (a lot of reduced by Incanter’s Flow and/or generated by Deck of Lunacy and finished off my control warlock opponent in a flashy way  It was almost as fun as winning a game in Classic earlier today where I dealt 24 damage in a turn as shaman vs. rogue. 20 of that damage was from hand via Flametongue Totem, Leeroy and Windfury

I tried deck burn warlock, not very good. On the other hand control warlock feels pretty OP. Tried that mage deck Wardrum posted, pretty fun. Ran a few priest matches and were ok, nothing crazy.

Did you get Rokara? Are you also using Saurfang in your Rush Warrior?

I got that dumb destroy your deck Lego too, but I will not use it.

You betcha!! I actually wound up getting Saurfang in my Warrior packs from the book of heroes bundle.

I tend to either win or lose before I get to play him anyway.

No Saurfang for me. I did get Rokara.

I refuse to craft today, though. I don’t want another Maiev situation.

I just had a game with my wild Reno Rogue deck where I curved Kazakus on 4 into the 5/5 stealth+summon a copy on 5, then I got to bounce one with Tenwu and play it again. I was quite pleased with how he performed there.

Rokara has been far more worthwhile than Saurfang so far. If I go more aggressive, I may drop him just because I don’t actually run a lot of Frenzy cards.
