Did you not get enough pre-orders last expansion? Is that why you basically eliminated the card pool to two expansions, and no mini-sets aside from Core and new set?
Terrible Brawl, terrible decision. Let us use ALL standard cards, or don’t even bother doing these anymore.
I’m having a hard time getting it. If you bought the pre-release (I did not) and you open all your packs and you don’t get anything worth playing with, you can’t do anything about it? There’s no crafting and you can’t buy more packs yet. What’s the point of having “early access” to the expac if you can’t play the cards you’d like to try?
didn’t get what you want? Buy more packs. That’s the point. For them, at least. People keep doing it, since they have no self control when it comes to buying digital tat.
Can you buy more than one pre-purchase bundles? I didn’t see the individual packs for sale. I saved up some gold, and don’t mind waiting, but I wasn’t sure what all there is to buy. I also wonder if the next mini-set will be 2500 gold like SC was.
This brawl has already shown me more than enough of the crapshow the expansion is going to be. Warlock endless dark gift discoveries and stealing life from minions endlessly. I’m done. The card designers should all be fired. Playing the game they design for should be a job requirement. They should be required to play at least 10 hours a week in all modes.
many complained about that on the first one as the reason the tavern brawl was bad
people were using current meta decks to farm people playing with cards
they got from the the new expansion to adress these complains they changed the card pool for this one
I actualy disagree the reason they card pool is smaller is because of what happen in the previous brawliseum.
The main focus of this brawl is to give early access to the new expansion cards and what happend is they got beat playing new decks versus old meta decks.
Imagine pre ordering the expansion being exited and hoping to face another player with new cards but he plays zero new cards.
The community also was unhappy and gave their feedback and for this reason we have the restrictions.
So if this event is to showcase the new expansion cards wouldnt any change to the rules to make them the focus of the event would make sense.
Ive also heard ppl say its pay to win its not pay to win if u spend money u just get more variety faster.
Simply put alot of people work long hours and dont have time to grind for hours.
So they buy pre orders bundles etc.
Lastly having people who spend on the game is a good thing if ur game is too free play believe it or not that is a bad thing another card game died out because it was too free play that says it all and also hearthsone is very generous towards free to play players.
This event is a great way to garnet exitement for the expansion while also encentising ppl to buy the pre order which is already a good deal and the event is fun i hope this event continues.
I think think blizzard have greatly improved this event since the first one its way more fun.
Seriously what is the point of it. Rules changed from last night locking me out of changing my deck seeing as they banned half of what I’m using so my only option is RETIRE it and thank them for wasting my 2 wins. Second beyond stupid Tavern run. And the shops are equally moronic, did you see where you can get 1 skin for 1000 gold or 2 for 3000, they put the logic in the pipe and smoked it up.
You are aware that Blizzard’s customer service phone number is the most hidden intel on their website. And tis a voicemail only type last time I called. They operate on a strict “shut up and give us your money” corporate path.
I disagree w/ your disagreement of it not being pay to win. Totally pay to win. Pay to have early access, giving you wins. It cant be any more obvious unless they knock on your door and slap yo momma and tell her to tell you Pay to Win, seriously pay to win. Overly expensive pay to win. If they quartered the cost on cosmetics as in drop them 75%, they’d make a tidal wave of money. They wont though, their focus is on whales.
brother, this game was free to begin with. The company could, literally, never put things for sale in this game and it wouldn’t be a problem. Gimme a break with all the blizzard defending. Y’all that do it, are brainwashed.
Point of the brawliseum is to make people pre-purchase…Why are you even playing the brawl, you really won’t stand a chance.
I tried the free run, I have like 450k dust so I just crafted some asteroid minions, no legendaries, just the 2 epic asteroid cards 2 rares and 2 whites…Ended up doing 4/3, mostly because the new imbue your hero power cards are…well let’s put it this way, they are Blizzard and not on the good side.
If they can get you frustrated enough to buy the pre-purchase and waste your money on this brawlisium they won. Just so you know.
Just take your free shot, draft a rush whatever hunter deck, try to push face damage before all the stupid stuff happens, try to win as much as you can, get your decks and be done with it. It’s no point to actually waste money for this.
can’t speak for anyone else, but had enough draenei cards to make a warrior deck. The problem, is everyone that got on their knees, i mean bought packs with money, are using decks full of the new cards. Losing to more broken stuff isn’t going to get me, at least, to pay for anything. I haven’t spent on this game since golden gelbin.
It sucks. It’s even worse than they allow new players to open standard packs without warning them, when they get 2023 cards from them and not even new expac cards.
That’s because they removed from the pool set’s from which people have cards…They left only one set and the pre-purchase…And guess what will happen, anyone will abuse the new set cards…
The point is to make you outraged with the fear of missing out on packs, and pre-purchase + pay the fee so that you can get more packs for the value invested.
What people do not understand, is that the brawl returns into the emerald dream packs, and for higher wins some dark beyond packs, I didn’t count the common/rare cards because they are pointless, and now humor me this, if you pre-purchased to play the brawl and utterly destroy everyone, you might have already almost the full collection just from the pre-purchase, what’s the point of extra packs and common/rare cards from that set ?
For anyone saying the dust value, please, if you are a pre-purchaser you don’t really have much to do with dust after some time…
So the only thing they are capitalizing on is the fear of missing out the pack value you get from destroying everyone. But since you can be matched with players with pre-purchased decks then that’s really debatable.
I thought of a couple different decks using paladin, rogue and warrior. But honestly, I really wanted the six wins. So I googled hearthstone brawl decks and found myself on hearthpwn.
I did get the 80 pack pre-purchase. I have played the game since league of explorers. If I’m ever motivated in any expansion then I get at least one of the pre-purchase options. A few of my favorite expansions I have bought additional packs. I’m not a whale. I’m just a gamer. This is one of the few games I actually spend money on.
I don’t even own a car. I rely on public transportation. Or I just walk, playing hearthstone on the way.
I did get lucky and received seven total legendaries and a good diversity of the commons, rares and epics. But I didn’t have everything. I found and used an Aessina/Malorne/Ceaseless OTK deck. Those are one of my favorite styles and I usually play that kind in any expansion. The final games on my Brawl ticket came down to the wire. I had two losses.
I faced 7 death knights and 1 warrior. All of the death knights were playing some form of deathrattle starship armor combo. I did see a couple new cards, but mostly everything was from the great dark beyond. The warrior was pure Draenei and utterly terrifying.
I lost to 2 death knights that were able to set up enough early minions I couldn’t deal with and I succumbed from poke. They didn’t plan any special minions, just cards. Of course they did play that 1/2 for a 3-cost with a dark gift.
Generally though, they kept discovering the same starship pieces and giving them reborn. If I didn’t get enough removal, I couldn’t last until I drew my primary combo pieces: ceaseless into Aessina for at least 20 damage. You can get another Aessina from Malorne and reach 40. The death knights easily got to 50+ health and armor. So I often had to weave in my hero power and make favorable trade while managing my health pool. My board was always in the state of losing ground. So my health was a ticking timer until I got my combo pieces. My deck played every imbue upgrade card.
Against the death knights I either silenced their starship after launch or tried to steal it with MCT. Not a single ship was destroyed in order to give them armor. None of them also triggered the spellburst/deathrattles to receive full armor from their combo. They either did not have the spells or the mana to do it in one turn. I always held my librarian for their starship.
