There is 0 chance this is unique since it’s really just a slight update to Burn Shaman but see below. Is Glugg the best card here? IDK. Is it fun? YES.
I can’t decide if Brann is worth including but it felt like a dead draw so I replaced with Thalnos. I don’t think Thalnos is ever a top-tier card, but it is draw and spell damage. With Bio and the ability to go wide… you are legitimately threatening lethal over and over and over.
Looking for a little bit of help here from you guys. The following is my current iteration of Curse Warlock. Please, let me know what you think might be replaced.
I’m running Brann in mine and he’s been fantastic. Maybe drop a Lifedrinker for him.
Also, Mistress of Mixtures being back can go a long way toward staving off early aggression or helping put a chunky boi within removal range on your next turn.
This is one I have been fiddling around with in Casual today. Somewhat similar but some variation you may like below. I cut a Grimiore for Thalnos because I found myself needing some spell damage to hit some higher health points consistently.
What I’ve been enjoying most in this deck is the multitude of ways to win the game, specially through Queen Azshara and the amalgams. Finding the ideal freeze spells is proving to be difficult but completing the quest isn’t as important as setting up a good spitelash train. Also, I miss devolving missiles…
I wish we had something similar to Spectral Cutlass. I think it needs some boost to survivability to be somewhat viable. I certainly don’t expect it to be a tier 1/tier 2 deck… but I just want to have fun and not get crushed all day!
Yea tooth and lobotimizer just aren’t flexible enough since they require honorable kill. Especially since Plunderer is gone now it’s hard to set them up to get the honorable kill. Plus tooth doesnt really provide much tempo. Also I think Tess is better than Stash because you can return her to hand and she doesn’t have a cap. Stash does have its strengths, you can tempo it out faster and it’s cheaper. Both are meme status for sure though so may as well run whichever you feel like… or both xD
I’ve actually never OTK’d someone from 30, but I’ve been doing pretty well with this deck regardless. I’ve survived a bunch of tribal decks (never lost to murlocs, only lost to Mechs due to a surprise Mutanus becoming ginormous) and the aggro Rogue; the healing is intense but I’ve felt like I needed most of it. Baby Cariel is S++ tier in this deck. Immortalized in Stone is pretty great. I kind of really want another City Tax as it’s been very good. Manasabers have been excellent and I think VS was sleeping on how good they are just as bonus mana for a turn when they picked the Mailbox Dancer and dormant pirate over them. Most closer games were won by Garden’s Grace and Faceless Manipulators; copying Colossal minions is bonkers. Because I never had to combo anyone, I suspect a less combo-focused and more control Holy deck is very viable, but never doubt the value of being able to blow people up from nowhere.
Edit: just deleted a control Warrior for like 60 damage. He used both brawls early and had no pressure so I just had stealthed Manasabers buffed and copied building up as I looked for Battlemaster; he knew what was coming and he started facelessing Nellie’s Ship trying to build a wall, but it was easily during the OTK.
Piranha Swarmer-based Hunter deck. The combo that feels the best is setting up Twinbow Terrorcoil to double Dire Frenzy on the Piranha. Hydralodon as just a decent curve topper that combines well with Tavish’s hero power summoning a Leokk. Might consider squeezing in a Brann…
I’ve been away from the game for awhile but holy smokes, Dragonbane Shot is godly; it just farms people. And you can combine with Raj Naz’jan for even more value.
