VttSC Deck Sharing (Homebrew or whatever)

I’m mostly proud for my (Q line) Druid deck because it seems I’m the only one running it (i’d run the teachers instead of the treasures if i had them)!
While all 3 decks were “homebrewed” there’s reall no homebrewing when speaking about mech paladin and aggro rogue, most of the deck makes itself lol.

How are trawler and vessel working our for you?

Trawler is ok, a 2 drop that fixes my next draw.
But I want him in for more reliability on the vessel, which i use to setup Smite burst turns (basically 12 from “hand”).

I’m split between running 2 vessels, because when they land they are indeed good, but in other matchups you dont have the leisure to actually set them up. Definately a match dependent card.

This uses C’thun + Malchezar for extra cards and plays like a control deck until you find fires of zin-azshari to swap your deck into big minions. DMH can be used to swap in even more cards if you find it.

Deck I’m testing out, Secret Naga Pally.

Nagas provide a lot of gas and synergize fairly well. Vicious Slitherspear can be attacking as a 3/3 on turn 2. Crushclaw and Amalgam to keep the cards flowing.

Cheap secrets are good enablers for the Crushclaw and Azshara.

Righteous Defense, Reckoning and Judgement of Justice are great for dealing with big threats.

Edit: made a few changes, removed some stuff that never felt like it quite worked out:
Removed:

  • Crossroads Gossiper
  • Veteran Warmedic
  • Cariel Roame
  • Cannonmaster Smythe

Added:

  • Battle Vicar
  • Ambassador Faeline
  • Lightforged Cariel
  • The Leviathan

Might seem odd to remove Gossiper and Smythe from a secrets deck, but my reasoning was that for Gossiper, it almost never triggered; it just died to a 3+ dmg spell. For Smythe, I found that either I’d used up most secrets by the time he was available or I kinda wanted to keep the secrets in play to protect other minions. And playing him while already having a board made it real awkward if the board got swept. So he was only nice in the niche scenario of a reload after a wipe.

Minion version of Cariel just didn’t have hardly any targets to hit. Usually secrets got played earlier or pulled by the weapon. So a lot of the time she was just a 4/3 rush divine shield, which is ok I guess but not lighting the world on fire.

Warmedic had similar issues as Cariel and Smythe, just not enough ability to utilize the effect after playing/summoning all the secrets earlier. Could be cool with Holy Maki Roll, maybe a dream scenario where you have a Slitherspear on board and you can play the Warmedic with Holy Maki Roll and grow the Slitherspear, heal up, and make a bunch of 2/2s.

Currently trying with some more value cards. Vicar can be another source of spells for Azshara, secrets for that part of the package, or just utility stuff like Equality/Consecration. Lightforged Cariel for an aoe source + buffing minions in hand to keep up in the late game. And then Faelin + Leviathan just to try it out, more late game value.

I think I remember you saying recently that Phylactery Warlock had a problem with draw. I think I fixed it with… Hullbreaker. The trick is realizing that expensive spells sucked anyway.

Tip: Try to avoid playing the sheep until combo turn if you can get them discounted. Both is ideal, one is mandatory.

Can’t take credit for this build except for the tech choices. Tech choices are Zola and starfish, latter is to hard counter switcheroo mostly, Zola can flat out win MU like mech mage and pirate warrior where they can generate near infinite short term value via card generation. We really struggling vs those two decks prior to including Zola, but after including Zola win rate spiked.

Overall, I’ve never seen ramp druid this strong, it’s the strongest it’s been relative to the rest of the meta and this is probably the strongest ramp druid list I’ve been able to refine.

Coasted to legend in a few hours of play with this deck, probably averaging a win rate in the high 60s to low 70s. Note this was all in one day, so it’s possible some deck comes along that destroys this and I just haven’t hit it yet, but I’m doubtful of that as this deck has insane draw coupled with massive swing turns.

In terms of learning curve, expect several hours of floundering with this deck as it is relatively high skill cap compared to other variants in the past, this is mainly due to the critical use of aquatic form and Zola, which are key cards in almost all mu.

Actually saw a hilarious deck on competitivehs, mill priest.

Basically summon as many selfish shellfish as you can using Asharan Ritual and Amulet of Undying and try and win the game using their big bodies, but if that doesn’t work you play hero card Xyrella and make your opponent draw around 20 cards.

Not sure if it’s actually decent , but every win puts a smile on my face.

I’ll post the decklist after I finish work if anyone is interested.

That might just work. Alas, I cannot get Mill Warlock to work, so I am slightly doubtful that Mill Priest works consistently.

Here’s a deck I received a Twitter alert for. It’s Control Paladin. Heck, I didn’t know that was even possible.
