Damn this lying VS dudes with their stats showing Paladin at the top spots …
This was not what i was told by the reliable sources in this forums, Paladin is meme tier at best.
Also Elemental Mage at tier 4 …another misconception given those same sources told me it was tier 1.
it does make sense considering that Dragon Druid is strictly a superior mid-range/early game and actually HAS late-game payoff. I suspect if/when Dragon Druid gets harmed, Ele Mage will spike back up.
Handbuff Paladin is top of T2 in Top 1k Legend by these stats, and T1 in Legend AND Diamond with almost 55% WR.
Definitely not meme-tier lmao, learn to read data.
I guess Paladin is probably bottom tier just like Rekt was saying, right? Anyways, lets buff Painter’s Virtue to 1 mana
Pay attention to the rogue section. Because there is a new deck rising in high legend. This new sonya rogue only surfaced in the last two days or so, and it only started populating through high legend in the recent 24 hours. It’s gaining traction though, and they’re not kididng when they say its skill differential is immense. HOWEVER, once people learn to play the deck properly it’s also one of the most broken things I have ever seen.
The jist of the deck is you use Griftah, trusted vendor to get a 1 mana cost fireball (deal 6 damage), then use sonya and tidepool pupil to go infinite. I’m not joking about the infinite part either. With the bounce effects and copy effects it can play multiple DOZENS of copies of the nuke. Its capable of dishing out 100-200 damage. Its celing is so high it’s catastrophically broken on unprecedented levels. BUT… like garrote rogue it’s also an incredibly challenging deck to pilot and one that newbies will flub up horrifically. To say its win rate floor is 40% and its celing is over 55% would not be an understatement. Its crazy how this deck operates. BUT… its also brand new. And I’ve no doubt rogue mains will flock to it. it has all the hallmark features of a rogue deck that makes rogue players play rogue. And once they learn how to pilot it, its even scarier than the original garrote rogue.
Sonya Rogue is a historically unique deck that we have not encountered in years. This is a deck that completely blows up all internal skill metrics in our possession. To give you an idea of how skill-intensive it is, if we apply its diamond matchups to the top legend field, its win rate would be ~39.5%. Instead, its win rate is ~51.5%. It gains a ~12% win rate in the average matchup at higher levels of play, which is completely absurd and nearly unprecedented. Unless you’re at the upper echelon of ladder, you should have no clue how to play it well. It is Tier 4 at legend. It is worse than Lynessa Paladin at lower Diamond ranks. This is the reincarnation of Garrote Rogue. There is no other example of a deck with a skill differential this high.
Considering that most top legend players don’t know how to play it well enough yet, its win rate is expected to rise further. We would not be surprised if it became the best deck at top legend within days. We would not be surprised if it completely dominated the more narrow, top 100 ladder. The only case against it is that it is very vulnerable to Cult Neophyte and Speaker Stomper, so we might see the field aggressively targeting it in this manner. If targeting it does not prove to be extremely effective, it is guaranteed to become a Tier 1 deck at top legend.
If this sonya rogue deck ever… and I mean EVER gains significant traction to the point people learn how to pilot it properly… it is getting nuked into oblivion. Team 5 WILL have no choice but to address it. Its damage potential is absurd. A ceiling of over 200+ damage from hand is not an exaggeration. I’m currently in high legend and I’ve seen this deck a couple of times. It’s gone off properly on me exactly twice. And when it did the power level was on a level unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. 50-70 damage from hand by turn 5 is not out of the question. Its catastrophically powerful, BUT equally complicated. People are gonna screw it up so bad for a while that it’ll LOOK like a meme deck. But it isn’t a meme. It’s dangerously powerful. Its ceiling is far higher than dragon druid or handbuff paladin. It’s actually terrifying. You DON’T want to see this piloted well. It’s horrifying.
I’ll be happy as long as they don’t nuke the entire class from orbit, considering the only other rogue deck that’s at all playable is exca rogue with like, 44% WR in legend rn lmfao
That aside you can see on this report why they will never change direction with Mage.
Class in shambles on the bottom of the ranks and still its the 4th most played class.
Mage players are to blame here, they look at stats like this and see validation on what they are doing.
Well, I don’t. But I’m not ever going to bother with crafting another class. It took me ten years to get even decent with one, and I will never invest that kind of time into any game again.
It would have to be sonya. That’s the only thing they can really go after. We already know shadowstep and breakdance aren’t getting nerfed, and I highly doubt tidepool pupil is getting hit. Pupil enables more breakdances and shadowsteps, but it’s sonya that goes infinite. The ceiling is LITERALLY infinite damage. You can tidepool sonya chain infinite breakdances, which allows infinite sonyas, which allows infinite 1 mana fireballs. All of this infinite power comes from sonya…
So if anything gets addressed, and IF the deck becomes a ladder menace, it’s sonya that’s getting slammed. She’s the only card they can hit that would actually matter.
I am not sure about that. It was a safe bet before release that Tidepool is broken and where can you abuse crazy OP battlecries the best? Oh, yeah, Rogue.
Another deck does crazy things because of Shadowstep and Breakdance. Woo could predict that, huh?
So I am not sure Tidepool does not deserve a nerf but Sonya certainly does. On the other hand without Sonya Rogue has nothing.
