I’ve been having issues with Battlegrounds since the last patch went live. Certain elements aren’t showing up, like the borders of all the heroes, the tier button, the quest marker, the crown at the top of the sidebar and the armor counter in the sidebar are completely whited out. I can also see these green bars that come out of the refresh and freeze button. But the main problem is the game performance now.
Once it gets to the point in the game when everyone has a full board or close to it, the game jams up really badly. It lags for about 30 seconds before it displays the combat which is done incredibly slowly. Then when i’m in the recruit stage it has a lot of trouble bringing up the new tavern after each refresh. Towards the later rounds it’s basically unplayable since I functionally have about half the time to make changes than my opponents do.
I haven’t seen anyone else talking about this but I haven’t changed anything with my PC so I don’t see how it could be anything except this new patch.
EDIT: I should add this is all with quality settings on low. The main game isn’t quite as bad but still pretty laggy.
Same, after last patch the game started having big performance and visual issues, its very choppy, sometimes freezing and white squares are showing up around some cards or in shop
I’m seeing the same thing since the recent patch. Was butter smooth before. Now, there are “slight” performance issues in the main UI and the other parts of the game (Tavern Brawl, ladder, etc) but Battlegrounds is REALLY bad. Very laggy, short freezes, etc. Almost unplayable. Is this a known issue?

It was BG at first but with the latest patch, Standard became laggy as well.
Game is borderline unplayable for me.
I think I found a solution - at least it seems to work for me…
In the Battle.net Launcher, choose Hearthstone (but don’t launch it) and choose “Scan and Repair” under the gear icon next to the PLAY button.
In my case I did that “repair” and it seemed to download some new files and “fix” things. Next time in Battlegrounds seems to be better.
