which character beside Jaina can freeze enemies ? otherwise its not possible to complete varden task 9 without nother freeze Merc :S
in the mean time(untill someone answer) i guess i farm Jaina coins cause if i dont the damn task will be stuck forever on the board blocking my task progress speed :S

“deal 200 dmg with ice lance” require target to be frozen to deal dmg :S
okay so what you can do and this is a very dumb idea. theres a boss fight in wintergrasp that auto freezes any merc that attacks it. damage your own minions via that broken dumb method
Best option (if you have him) is to use Lich King’s frost shield. It freezes enemies until the end of the NEXT turn, so you have plenty of time to use ice lance. Otherwise you have to use Jaina’s Summon Elemental and time your attacks correctly.

Demontune: umm thats also a plan(Avalanchan)…so…kill my own team for credits XD…would need quick protectors so lance does double dmg to them that way(speed 4 melee attacks or better)…Kurtrus the only one among the ones i own thats faster than 5 speed XD…full tedious way ya XD
edit: think i do it avalanchan way…blackrock sort of a pain to do…rather farm blackrock after maxing all merc stats hehe
The Lich King can freeze enemies for multiple turns. However, in the barrens you can find an enemy(I think ice elemental) that freezes anything it damages. You can hit a fast merc into it, hit the merc with Varden, and then heal either the elemental or your attacker with Xyrella. This way you can finish the entire task in a few battles. The hard part is finding the elemental.
cant rely on that method with all my merc at lvl 30 XD the thing would instant die…anyway started my progress to avalanchan
If you do heroic on one of the later levels like Neeru they can take the hit. Faster than completing a whole bounty several times.
alright i take a look then(probably safer than avalanchan since he be dealing hard dmg on me)
thought the dude was only in the earliest barren lvl(didn’t exactly keep track of where that guy can spawn XD)
edit: well…Kurtrus doesn,t take double dmg from varden…so i be using a different merc to finis the task…rathorian is lower attack(less harm to elemental)…and well…the lvl 15 heroic zone is just perfect for it…neeru spot was a little too powerful to do it safely :S
edit 2: nvm rathorian is worse…forgot he deal twice dmg to blue type :S
last edit: finish…thx again for the recommendations…probably should of taken Natalie Seline to get more healing(Xyrella would of died on second run if i had not accidently kill the elemental on my first round(after getting 4 credits)…and well…the elemental would harm itself less by poking Natalie instead of Xyrella XD
Natalie…Kurtrus…Varden best team for the dang task XD

I personally just farmed jaina over two days for the task.
For gar, just use Varden and xyrela and something like brukan.He won’t be able to cast anything ever if you do it properly, making him very easy.
If you slow him with brukan and ice lance him, the low will persist for the next turn and you can even cancel his 2nd summons. At that point he’ll be almost dead.
use, in this order: jaina, cookie, and varden - after summoning an enemy-side minion using cookie and destroying the rest of the enemies on the other side of the board, bring out a frost elemental from Jaina. Spend four extra turns summoning a couple more of the enemy side minions using cookie’s third ability, and then start attacking them with the elemental, then have varden use the ice lance ability - easy peasy
