Utilize That Ignore Function

Porthole, do you see my elbow in the video?

(352) SUNNERY JAMES & RYAN MARCIANO, DRAGONETTE, CAT DEALERS - YouTube

Click on your Icon like you would to view someones elses profile to ignore them. The top bar should start in Activity tab. Switch top bar to Preferences tab. From there switch bottom bar to Users tab. Under that tab you should see Users with first thing on the list being Ignored. Then just click on the +Addā€¦ and Type the User Name.

After all this years in this forum you still dont see the fatal flaw in that ā€¦

You cant block those that have their profiles hidden, thats the main reason i leave mine open.
Itā€™s a courtesy to all that wish to block me, also my opinions tend to remain the same so i have no reason to hide my past posts.

Im nothing but consistent.

I just want the card back and then Iā€™m done.
This game never changes anymore, and it never gets any better.
This team 5 took what others created and drove it into the ditch.

Interesting how you accuse other people of trolling and identity theft and what not and at the same time doompost all over it.

Porthole, come to me. Letā€™s step aside and talk without witnesses. Iā€™ll explain to you what ā€œRUSSIAN STEELā€ is!!! :joy: :joy: :joy:

I hope you donā€™t think I was referring to you, Orion. Although I get the impression you donā€™t care for me very much, I still always respect what you say and consider it.

I do have to correct you, however, that you can ignore private profiles by manually entering their username in preferences, under users.

This thread is merely a suggestion. I can appreciate different views on this. I think thereā€™s credibility to both. For me, Iā€™d rather ignore one or two users to enhance my forum experience.

Excuse me? I havenā€™t accused anyone of this.
You have me confused with another, I do believe.
I get worked up about mage and very little else.

Oh i have no doubt in my mind that it wasnt about me , i couldnt care less we have no real past interactions of note.

The only thing i dislike about you is your inability to ā€œstick to your gunsā€ so to speak, i also dont care much for never ending ā€œim sorryā€ it loses all meaning when used that much.

The thing is i dont put into question your inteligence, you know very well that the timing of this topic was not innocent and i saw the outcome coming a mile away.

Finally something worth of note , and i get educated on something i didnt think possible.

yeah, you can. I have about 40 players ignored this way.
All from this forum.

Entirely understandable. Iā€™ve spent the last few years posting here in varying degrees of intoxication and via varying substances. Iā€™d say something while feeling one way, and later feel another way and essentially contradict myself. I will curb that tendency from here on out. Iā€™m sober two months now, so far, far more coherent than I was prior. And as for ā€œIā€™m sorryā€, yeah, those are just words. I feel you. I have a very bad habit of saying sorry for everything.

Not to get too off topic. A lilā€™ too late, but I felt that information was pertinent.

You actually can, itā€™s just an extra step.

Edit: I see it was explained. Hope it was helpful.

Promise?

You took a break and it improved this place immensely.

Facts.

Sure, Donald, couldnā€™t have been you. Was a different orange trolly person, for sure.

It provides them an outlet to express their anger and negative thinking, while also garnering desired attention and confrontation, safely.

As everyone should. Thats why, despite disagreeing with the vast majority of what Mall says (often aggressively), I have a lot of respect for him. Right, wrong, or indifferent, he stands up for his beliefs.

On-topic: In all the years I have been here, there is only 1 person I have felt the need to use the ignore function on. My criteria to ignore is different to most who use it. There are many others I dont interact with very often due to their posting habits, but I dont need the ignore function for that. I have this ability known as self control, and reading their stupidity is still amusing even if I dont want to talk to them directly.

No wonder you have not been talking to meā€¦ :smirk:

Ignoring people doesnā€™t solve the systemic abuse that often occurs in forum systems of this type; you will often be bullied and nothing will happen to the bullies; I personally prefer to talk about that and not pretend it doesnā€™t exist because while itā€™s a video game and therefore ā€œnot seriousā€: people who try to psychologically abuse others hide under the hood that they may do it in real life too and under more sensitive situations.

In practical terms forum systems of this sort breed ā€œgangsā€ of people who abuse the unpopular minorities; they are the only ones with effective power to ban people; thatā€™s because itā€™s implied (but very clearly) that nobody ā€œfrom higher upā€ cares about post-flags it itā€™s not a mass-flagged post.

There are at least two systems better than this; one: no moderation or almost no moderation; two: a more pure democratic process similar to reddit only soft-hiding the mass-downvoted (when the subreddit is not heavily-manually-moderated).

We have gangs here? Do we get beat in? Sexed in?

Call it ā€œgangsā€ in quotes if you donā€™t get the concept of figurative speech. It can also happen very directly too when itā€™s not just by natural gravitation. E.g. people are known to collect around shady discord servers or 4chan threads and unleash abuse/bullying to their victims on social media and elsewhere (especially vile when they do it anonymously against named kids on social media but even when all are anonymous it has a negative impact).
