Using Malorne while not imbuing

I am playing as imbue Priest against a warrior, i played my malorne while imbued 4 times. Then next turn the warrior used bob the bartender and he stole my Malorne and his was active without him even imbuing. I don’t know if its a bug or its supposed to work like that, but it was frustrating to see not gonna lie.

Do you mean that the Wild God he discovered from “Malorne” had a mana cost of (1)?

You just answered your own question. Bob copied the active minion, just like if you copy a forged card you don’t need to forge it yourself

That’s absolutely incorrect
Copying a minion from board to hand gives you a plain copy with no enchantment
More than that, “having imbued 4 times” is not a condition that is remembered by the card, it’s a permanent checks that the card makes once it’s in your hand
It’s not an event that the card will store and remember, because it’s not an event that the card has to have seen for it to check the condition

We still need the reply from OP to Joachim’s question but my bet is that they didn’t realize that the imbue condition for Malorne only reduces the wild god. Malorne will always discover a wild god regardless of how many times you imbued

Yes, that confused me too, for not reading it again and also having it in signature…
It says discover a wild god and right after the punctuation, if you have imbued 4 times reduce its cost to 1

Lol, I don’t even use it in an imbue deck… Paladin is too slow for that and there are too many useless Old Gods to put it into my deck…

And naturally, Warrior probably had 16 mana at that point so paying 8 mana to him was probably about the same as it was to you playing it for 1 xD

Aight lads i am dumb, i just assumed the whole battlecry was active if you imbue 4 times, didnt know you could discover a wild god either way. Thanks for all help tho.
