I am the only person I have ever seen play a deck with Entomologist Toru. I have logged dozens of games at the Diamond rank, and my W/L ratio is probably 2 wins to 50 losses.
Toru is too slow at 8. Since he neither rushes nor has taunt, the tempo loss is enormous - essentially a turn 8 do nothing. By this time, you also need to have amassed a hand worthy of putting into jars, and have not DIED given the fast meta (Protoss Priest, Murloc Paladin, Flood Paladin, Quest DH). Meanwhile, control archetypes (Warrior) can outlast anything you can put on the board even if you hit your ideal Toru hand and activate by turn 9.
Please upgrade this card. It has some potential, just either needs to be several mana points cheaper OR be given taunt/rush so he’s not a complete tempo loser. Turn 8 do nothing! Terrible.
