Hi there,
For some reason I’ve not been able to log into Americas region on Hearthstone on my PC. My mobile is totally fine, so have been playing Hearthstone on my phone, but I want to play on my PC too and I keep getting the same error.
“The game was unable to log you in through the Blizzard services. Please wait a few minutes and try again”
This has been going on for a few weeks.
I’ve tried the following:
Deleting Hearthstone and reinstalling
Deleting cache files
I am able to log onto Asia and Europe regions fine, but all my cards are on Americas so it’s pointless.
How do I fix this?
Hey there,
I have a few ideas you can try that may help. If you’re using any deck trackers or anything like that try uninstalling it first. Then try these steps:
- In Windows 10 go to Start → Settings
- Click on Apps
- Uninstall the Battle.net app
- Press Windows key + R
- Type the following into the Run window and hit Enter: %APPDATA%
- Delete the Battle.net and Blizzard folders inside the appdata folder if they exist.
- Repeat steps 4-6 with %LOCALAPPDATA% and %PROGRAMDATA%
- Empty the recycle bin.
Now reinstall the Battle.net app: https://www.blizzard.com/en-us/apps/battle.net/desktop
Test the game again and see if you can connect to the Americas region. If it’s still happening, try creating a new administrator account and then log into that account to see if it’ll let you connect from there.
Damn, I tried that, but no dice either.
Could this be anything to do with my router? I recently moved from Wifi to Ethernet cable?
It’s possible yeah, although not as common for the router to be the issue if you can connect to other regions. If you swap back to wifi does it allow you to connect?
You could try logging into the router if you’re familiar with how to do that, and see if there’s a firewall or security setting that might be too strict. Another option would be factory resetting the router in case something got changed that is blocking the connection from reaching the Americas servers.
Ok thanks for the ideas. So here’s what else I’ve tried over the last two days:
Installed Hearthstone on a second laptop - connected via Wifi (my PC is connected via ethernet cable) - same error.
Connected my PC to my mobile phone hotspot - same error.
I’m totally lost on how to fix this. I’ve now tried a different device and a different internet connection. Still won’t log me in to the Americas.
Now I’m wondering if it’s an account issue somehow? It’s frustrating because I’m basically forced to play the game on my iPhone which isn’t my preferred method. Been playing since Season 1 and never had an issue.
Hey again,
If you’re logging into the same account on your iPhone and connecting to the Americas region then it shouldn’t be an account issue.
When you tried with your phone’s hotspot was the phone connected to wifi? If so it’ll use the wifi connection instead of mobile data. Perhaps try connecting through a VPN instead and test that out?
Hi,
I had similar problem after changing email and turning on parental control.
What works for me? Disable parental control and wait about 8 hours. Probably disabling not needed but I did it.
I am experiencing this issue as well. It’s very frustrating as I am completely unable to play the game.
I have tried all your previous suggestions, as well as using multiple different networks, as well as using VPN’s and multiple locations for that VPN on the multiple networks all to no avail. Can you please fix this issue? I hate using the mobile app to play because I can barely read card descriptions, making turns take far too long. Plus the mobile version crashes probably at least 3 times in a one hour long session. It sucks. Fix the pc version, PLEASE
