Is there any way to turn off the notifications for achievements? If I’m not able to use these points to my advantage (which is seems like I can’t) then I actually find them patronizing and annoying. I’d rather I just didn’t have to bother with them. Is there any way to just turn off those notifications so I don’t get the little red exclamation point telling me that I’ve actually not done a single thing worth any value.
I don’t know, am I the only one who finds them useless and patronizing? If I can’t buy cards, dust, or gold with them then why do I have them?

There are some achievements that give XP for the Reward Track, but the vast majority are just there as something to do for the completionists.
All I want is an option to stop receiving notifications about them. Every time the journal has one of those stupid little red marks I just get frustrated. It is not providing me with a sense of completing anything, it just makes me feel like the game developers are patronizing me, giving me a sticker for completing a non-task like I’m a child. If the achievement points HAVE to be part of the game now I’d like an option to stop being forced to check them.

Same here, every time i see that patronizing snarky little exclamation mark i feel my rights have been abused, i mean, look at it, sitting there all offences and crippling to our persons. I hate it so much that when i was in school and the teaching put an exclamation mark on the board i flipped the table and started a protest… i mean treating us like children by putting an exclamation mark on a creen. I mean what next, question marks, colons, i mean where doe it end… Oh the humanity.
On a serious note, don’t look at the exclamation mark if it offends you, and the exclamation mark doesn’t force you to check quests is you don’t want too. @Sigrist, to be honest you sound like a child

I don’t let it bother me, though
I can see your point of view on how it is annoying for some people. It would be nice if you just automatically got the achievement points without having to go in and click all the blue highlighted bricks. Some people like seeing a bunch of tasks or even just one get completed as it gives them a sense of accomplishment. I know in the grand scheme of things the achievements are usually pretty lackluster, but they get you to greater levels and greater rewards. I do wish Blizzard would just create a separate mode like Wild for people who liked playing the game with the three max daily gold quests. While this new system seems better in some ways it feels like as you progress it becomes harder or at least more time consuming to level up with achievement points to get the rewards. I assume this is intentional by Blizzard to get more people to spend money as they may have more money than time and players may not want to constantly grind their way through game after game to get the necessary achievement points. Kind of an annoying move by Blizzard to make people pay $20 to complete achievements faster when the portraits are available for free once you level up enough. They should’ve done $4.99 or 500 gold to get achievements 25% faster, $9.99 or 1000 gold to go 50% faster and leave it at that or give portraits not accessible any other way of free arena tickets. Maybe my suggestions would have Blizzard still seem greedy, but less so. Another idea is if players can buy both preorder bundles slash the cost of the regular bundle in half if people purchase the mega bundle. That would entice players who can afford the mega bundle to spend another $20 and get a lot more value. Spending over $100 before tax on a free game in one shot is something I will never do, but despite a loss in revenue from players who buy both bundles at full price, I think the influx of players who don’t usually buy the mega bundle and do it for the savings on the regular bundle, would more than make up for the $20 lost on those who bought both at full price when possible.
It kind of ruined Battlegrounds as you know if you win a battle as soon as it starts when you get “bobs favourite” and “terrible terrible damage”.
