My List / Predictions:

  1. Priest (Strong)

So little is happening in any class. The only possible new threats are like Demon Hunter maybe gaining more burst or DKs Plagues being broken. Creation Protocol just gives 40 card Priest an easier time tutor-copying out a Behemoth/Handmaiden/Whatever. It’s actually a huge gain relative to the new stuff other classes are getting.

  1. Demon Hunter (Strong)

Demon Hunter just got some free toys to play with. Nothing even needs to be good because other classes gain so little.

  1. Hunter (Strong)

Exact same scenario as Demon Hunter.

  1. Death Knight (Strong)

No new cards needed. If Plagues end up working it might be the most change this set brings.

  1. Mage (Strong)

No new cards needed. I don’t see a deck with new cards either.

  1. Warrior (Strong)

The new Control stuff probably doesn’t work at all because of Dirty Rat will snipe your 8 cost Battlecry minion, just play Enrage instead.

  1. Rogue (Decent)

New cards probably don’t work. Miracle Rogue probably works with old cards.

  1. Paladin (Decent)

It got new toys to try, but doesn’t need them.

  1. Druid (Unplayable).

The ramp is either too slow or the ramp lacks inevitability(because of Dirty Rat) if you build it light enough to be fast. Token Druid loses to stuff like Shard of the Naaru and Blood Death Knights broken tier aoe.

  1. Shaman (Unplayable)

Shaman got great new cards, but still doesn’t have enough good card draw sources. The lightning Reducer and Generater cards are almost broken, but limited to 1 spell so it’s great/good, but nothing special in the end. Putting all your eggs into the 3 mana 3/4 draw a bunch of cards will get dirty ratted and you will just lose.

  1. Warlock (Unplayable)

Nothing Changes.

I have combo-lover bias. :person_shrugging: Decks I’m trying week 1:

  1. Nothing.
  2. Nothing.
  3. Nothing.
  4. Some form of copium Jive Insect Combo Shaman that loses to Dirty Rat hitting it’s card draw.
  5. Some form of Combo Druid that probably dies to Renathal decks or dies to curvestone Paladin because it has to add in too many winconditions vs Renathal Dirty Rat.

I hope other people are more excited for this Expansion than me. I just don’t see new stuff happening, it looks like everything stays practically the same.

Please hype up how broken and powerful new stuff is going to be and tell me I’m blind, I’d love some hopium.

You can at least relax a little knowing the Jive Insect combo only really relies on spells and breaking a weapon. Nobody can dirty rat or patchwerk your combo pieces.

DK like always will dominate and completely erradicate everything else out of the meta and the only variety we will get is the 3 types of DK’s.

30 DK’s for each 10 of the few classes have something closer to compete and for 1 of the other classes.

Enjoy DKStone for the rest of lifespaw of the game because devs refuses completely to balance the abomination, DK rules and mana costs follow an exclusive totally unbalanced in the class favor.

For me the class should never exists in the first place and should be erradicated out of the game forever.

Shaman has card draw for days now. Farsight (although more cycle than draw), prescience, ancestral knowledge, I’d put flowrider with farsight in that its a tutor cycle, the titan draws 3 overload, thorium, flash of lightning.

T1 when expansion releases will probably be Hunter and Demon Hunter.

Im predicting them to get nerfed in the first balance patch.

That said, my entire prediction is

Hunter (Big Beast T1/Token T2)
Demon Hunter(Relic T1)
Paladin (Mech T2/Pure T2)
Warrior(Enrage T2/Control T3)
Death Knight (Unholy T2/Plague T2)
Shaman(Nature Burn T2)
Priest (Control T2/Automaton T4)
Mage(Arcane T3/Casino T3)
Warlock(Big Control T3/Chad T3)
Druid(Ramp T3/Treant T3)
Rogue(Miracle T3/Mech T4)

What is it with you and DK?

He is a Control Warrior fanatic and somehow sees Blood DK as stealing its thunder. As in, it doesn’t matter to him how Blood DK is performing relative to the rest of the meta, it matters how Blood DK is performing relative to Control Warrior. Currently, that’s much better.

As much as I want to make predictions, there’s still the difference between how strong the decks can be, and how players will be utilizing the cards and what the deck building will look like.
The first week you will probably see nothing change outside of 1 or 2 cards swapped in some decks, while the experimental decks wont even be tiered and take at least 2 weeks of people working on tinkering before they get refined.

For example, enrage warrior is a very refined deck. It took over a month after the expansion released for it to even be a fleshed out deck concept.

There will be probably a new deck on top because people are missing a lot.

  1. Why Hunter would wait for hollow hound to combo If there are cheaper minion who do the same damage?

  2. Elemental mage cards are really strong. Just forget the rainbow nonsense.

  3. If you think Control priest infuriates now just wait for they to start using tools made for authomaton decks in Control priest.

  4. Nature shaman is a really ,really fast deck. It actually scares me and i hope i wrong.

  5. Tram operator created a neutral draw engine. So now every class who wants can have “turbo draw”.

While the titans themselves feel like really, really unflavorful cards.
There is more than enough stuff to make a serious metagame impact.

Hahhahah just awesome…

This is so wrong. Priest number 1 and warrior nuber 9? Based in what are those predictions? XD

Why unflavorful?? Most of them have a very nice design in my opinion, only the rogue one feels very nonsense regarding flavor, since it’s a mech titan that has very little flavor with the rogue class.

Sorry but a minion with multiple habilities really isn’t what comes to anyone mind when we talk about titans.

They either imagine huge things like colossals or go the creationist route and imagine beings older than creation itself with powers that bend reality.

Those represent neither. Even for Warcraft lore and for sure not in a card game either.

If i taking my time to say that is because i know blizzard could have done better.

Common · Minion · TITANS · Battlecry: Draw a Mech. The next Mech you play costs (2) less.

++

Rare · Minion · Festival of Legends · After you play a -Cost card, draw a -Cost card. (Then increase!)

?

It is some good hopium.

Not really.
Sure it isn’t perfect but turn 6 drawing that many cards makes any deck able to draw anything on time for the late game.

While i not believe it will be common there will be decks looking for that type of filtering.
