Time Warp in Wild

https://hsreplay.net/replay/PR78jwqZ2wgRLqrgWWwF3T

Worst deck ever created or allowed, and the sole deck mage is allowed above diamond 5 in wild these days.
Team 5 needs to reconsider the card.
Time Warp should be banned and Mage should be afforded something else.

aaaannd there he goes again, i thought we had a period of mallenroh being positive but i guess not

here’s the “mage isn’t allowed to be good” and the “only the archetype i don’t like is viable so i am objectively correct in being mad” arguments!!!

Except that isn’t what it says. Mage is good enough. If you play this one deck.
That everyone hates.

like I said, wild and standard are different.

Every class has divisive and uninteractive decks in Wild because with 10 years of broken cards, broken things will be made.

In standard, things are always better. Shaper Mage is annoying, yes, but very good. All mining mage needs is another decent tempo package to replace the secret package and it’ll be great. I’m very excited to try both new elemental and spell mage.

You always seem to shift the argument around. When I talk about mage’s viability in wild (whether that be time warp mage or the better, less divisive deck of Aggro Secret Mage), you immediately turn and say “well mage isn’t good in standard + people hate it” (which to be fair, people hate every class. I’d say the hatred for priest and shaman is much worse than mage hate has ever been)

If I dare to talk about standard you say “oh well the deck doesn’t work in wild so it must be bad 4head” which like, yeah, the game isn’t balanced around wild boohoo.

I play in wild every day. Secret mage isnt better.
More fun, but not better, and team 5 saw to that with its nerfs.

Is anything viable for mage that doesn’t involve dice rolls?

The whole game is dice rolls at this point. They gave up on strategy about the same time they retired Genn/Baku early and went full casino clown fiesta with the game.

I am going to wait and see what mage actually has for standard decks after card release.
If there isn’t a viable deck that doesn’t win by dice roll, then I’m done.
This game isn’t even a game anymore.
Games have rules and limits. This is a stupid slot machine.

This is what every class outside of face hunter and aggro druid does, so deal with it.

Or just leave and stop spamming the forums worse that the actual trolls.

I agree that the game goes too far in every metric now.

Most Pally decks are pretty low on dice rolls too. Draw luck is still needed to curve out I guess, but that applies to basically every deck.

Which leads to spooky mage, which Mall has said to be pally like. That deck has little dice rolls.

…but Mall apparently doesn’t like that deck either :joy:

This is what makes Hearthstone interesting apparently and “fun”.
I don’t regret not playing this game.

Maybe if you had a real team of people willing to work with actual passion you would be able to think something more creative than printing random on everything.

I didn’t hate the deck, just not sure what tokens and armor have to do with mage.
And why must every spell deck mage gets these days be rng or conditional?
Mage went from being a deck that won with direct damage and curve to being anything but that. Like it wasn’t allowed or something.

Mall, you know you could, i dont know, maybe, and follow me on this one, begin playing a different class? They got a lot of them. and many even have dual class cards that you prolly already have. You been going 10 years on one class alone. It aint healthy if this is where its lead you. Diversify your HS portfolio. lol. Exercise some other muscles of your HS skills. YOu been doing Leg day only for 10 years solid every single day. Try a bit of some bench pressing with rogue, or maybe some pull ups with shaman. Just try something new if the whole mage focus isnt yielding what you wanted it to.

Thanks C. But I am not most people, and it takes me a really long time to learn even one playstyle.
That’s why I haven’t switched. I don’t have the same learning curve as many players here.
And I certainly don’t have ten more years to invest in learning a new class from jump:).
But the elemental deck is good, and looks good in standard too, and I am having fun with it.
If I can’t win in Wild anymore, I guess I’ll try Standard again. Just tired of team 5 pigeonholing mage to one deck.

Id say rogue would be you easiest lateral movement as its very much alike with mostly spells, secrets, and the like. Shamans are the same as Mages even in WoW, only they can wear mail and heal. lol. Same for HS, they get bigger boards faster and can heal themselves and their boards moreso than mage ever gets to. Just sayin, its why I never dusted anything beyond having the 2 needed for deckbuilding later on. I know Im not any example of good at the game, but if I can do it, you certainly can. I havent ever gotten above platinum. you can play another class lol.

Paladin is what Mall is looking for. Tempo and burst from hand, with no RNG.

Sif Mage is, too. That deck doesn’t win with RNG.

I really don’t want to. If team 5 can’t give every class the same opportunities, then I will just quit.
The game used to have limits, symmetry, and a style for practically every player.
Everything is needlessly complicated now, and most decks win from things that happen in the coding rather than on the board.

I feel this deck is bad to lose against cos it’s RPG. They get enough blocks and board freeze and then finish combo you lose. if they dont get the combo you win.

I hate playing against it. I would rather lose to a warrior smashing my face in with 200 armor converted to attack than this.

So are we done being thankful about Elemental Tempo Mage now, or something?

Cuz there’s at least two Mage Rage threads up on the front page, featuring our favorite Mage fanatics.
