I am talking over the lifspan of the game, not a single meta. When you look down the Rogue legendary list many of them saw quite a bit of play in meta decks (I count at least 10, excluding DK, Tak and Tess as the more “fun deck” inclusions).
Even two legendaries generally considered bad (Anub and Gallywix) both saw play in a top 100 capable deck back in the day, piloted by one of our (former) forumites, Immortallion.
Yes, Paladin has had metas which gave them “wallet” decks, but all things considered I still have Rogue #1 for legendary quality overall.
E: also, as mentioned above, Shaku was a staple card in its day.
I was wrong about Shakou. By the time I started playing in KFT it didn’t see any play.
But I stand by my statement that it’s not the legos holding Paladin back. It’s the Rare and Epic cards, which in the last two expansions had to be designed and balanced around Baku and Genn, and probably DF and pre-nerf Equality as well.
It’s therefore not surprising that both Mech Paladin and Holy Wrath are both incompatible with Baku and Genn.

No arguments here, I think thats most classes in the game. It sorta went a bit off-topic, I was simply addressing the claim that “all Paladin legendaries are memes” when they have had some of the best historically speaking.
