Yeah, I get that they’re trying to bait returning players back, but damn, that HAS to be a gut punch to f2p players who have been grinding to try and keep up, and ended up with less.

That’s nice, I would have never thought blizzard coul be that generous.
Even if they are 150 packs, if you play for 4 months (a full expansion), you will probably end up with the same number of packs + extra stuff from the pass (maybe less standard packs, but probably the same expansion packs).
Do you know how long is the “don’t log in” period?
Looking at what they give, I’d say at least 4 months, but if it’s less (like 2 month) it could be a new farming strategy

I read some comments, but there isn’t an official statement.
There are people who haven’t played for 2+ years, for example, but not everybody got that gift.
Why doesn’t blizzard advertise this sort of thing more?
I agree. OP said in the title a couple of months, but I can’t say how accurate that is. It’s kind of disappointing that they don’t just offer this kind of thing to everyone, because with this, the best way to get packs is now to not play, or just buy preorders.

Yeah, it could be. Unfortunately we can’t know for sure.
trust me, returning players won’t be here for long. they left for a reason and the game’s deteriorated into WORSE shape while they’ve been gone.
show me a SINGLE YT channel or Twitch streamer who left HS, came back, and stayed. Nope, never happened.

I mean, it’s nice to give players a gift. But, like, they don’t reward people like this for showing loyalty to the game.
